Actually, all the reports and articles that I'm seeing say he's doing the best he can; even other law enforcement officers, present and past, agree he's in a tight spot and he's learning on the job. If authority figures in Maryland and the government don't have a problem with him, who are we to say he should be removed?

And, again, those are YOU opinions. I'm not willing to castigate somebody who's doing a job I wouldn't want for a million dollars, mainly because there's a chance he has to listen to all the carping about the REALLY important stuff, like how he talks, for goodness sake.

You can criticize him if you want, but until you walk in his very shoes, it's just your opinion. And I'm entitled to mine. I just don't see how the constant carping and mocking helps. If you get off on that, fine. I say let the man do the job that other people think he's handling just fine.

I suppose these are the standards you hope to be judged by at your performance reviews. The LEAs on the case have collectively killed more kids at Waco than the sniper has or probably ever could.

Ummmm, actually I haven't seen *all* those reports. Where are your reading this?

If authority figures in Maryland and the government don't have a problem with him, who are we to say he should be removed?

Actually in law enforcement circles on the west coast, they are privately cringing every time the man goes on national television. They are very embarrassed by this man. This is a fact. Even Ray Charles can see he is not in his league. He may be a good police officer, but he should stay the hell away from national news conferences.

You can criticize him if you want, but until you walk in his very shoes, it's just your opinion. And I'm entitled to mine. I just don't see how the constant carping and mocking helps. If you get off on that, fine. I say let the man do the job that other people think he's handling just fine.

If the murders continue, you may as well get used to the carping and mocking, as Moose will certainly be the focus of greater negativity by many. And it will be justified in my opinion.

He is certainly not someone that I would personally want in a leadership role in my area

Howlin, please go to the link below for some insight to Moose. He was Jake Reno's man for the job. Those of us on the West Coast who know of his record as the Portland Police know about his Political Correctness and Diversity worship. That is why he got this job! Under his reign as Police Chief, Portland went from one of the safest cities to a constant crime city with druggies and others committing crime with basically no fear of arrest.

PC Moose link re his profiling: To Grampa Dave | 2002-10-22 08:04:27 sent by xxxxxxxxx (link to PC Moose re profiling)

Excerpt from the report on this link: Summer 1999, the liberal democratic Montgomery County Council hired a new black police chief, Charles Moose. Moose is a long time friend of the liberal, pro-diversity U.S. Department of Justice, and Moose actively promotes "diversity training" for police officers.

His resume reveals that he strongly favors good racial profiling (profile everybody) in order to defeat bad racial profiling. The Montgomery County chapter of the NAACP loved Mr. Moose. Moose was hired largely to help defuse the NAACP's accusations (not proof, but accusations only) of racial bias by the Montgomery County police.

Even Clinton's U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno pitched in to help convince the Montgomery County council to hire Charles Moose. ============================================================

Those who advocate, condone and push Political Correctness are making it unsafe for the rest of us. We are seeing what Political Correctness/Diversity agendas can do to a crime investigation when it runs rampant. Political Correctness can kill innocent people.

The inept handling of this sniper case has sent a loud and clear message to the al Qaeda leadership that the best way to terrorize America is to send sniper cells to the left wing cities/urban areas. The areas that voted big for the goron, with liberal mayors, city councils, DA's, left wing fish wraps and of course PC police chiefs who have worshipped the Diversity God instead of good police work.
