Not to mention the use of white vans by Michaels is no coincidence.

if the truth came out...the government would lose control of the populationI sadly believe you underestimate the docility of the American population, even the gunowners. And the government can berelied on , I think, to viciously side with the local Moslems/Arabs in such a brawl. Determined gun confiscation would likely result. The members of the bureaucracy and most of the bureaucracy are suicidally tunnelvisioned and will die before they let anyone have any excuse to label them unPC.

I am thinking that the 2 men a Mexican and a Guataemalen were probably very common user's of this pay phone. Most illegal immigrants resort to using calling cards to call their homeland and usually early in the morning or real late at night depending on the time change of their country to the U.S..Whether calling Mexico or Guataemala, it would be earlier there, based on time change. Your reasoning here is pointless.

Beats the hell out of these so called "professional profilers".
I see the same blindness being protrayed by some political pundits when they claim something can't happen because it hasn't happened before.

I think you've hit the nail squarely on the head. Unfortunately.

You have certainly put a lot of "partial pictures" together.
Your theory is no more or less believable than the "it's a crafty whacko" theory.
Bottom line is that we all know very little about what's going on; what was written, what was said, what it sounded like, what this person (or these people) beef really is.

I think it's AQ or a wannabe. Have you read Zawahiri's latest speech or the one attributed to bin laden his speech to the American people? They both read like a list of demands.

YOU can do almost anything you want to do and get away with it if you act alone and keep your mouth shut.
That is a fact.
If a girlfriend, wife, family member or friend knows about it, you will most likely be caught. If you get drunk and start bragging in a bar one night you will get caught.
It may be frustrating and infuriating but he has a very easy task when it comes to shooting random targets and it will be tough to catch him without a break somewhere along the line.
He may never be caught but unless he is acting alone and keeps his mouth shut he WILL be caught, eventually.
I dont think this is a group. I dont think its organized. FWIW.

Al Qaeda and its supporting groups have had its money stripped from them for the most part and choked off. Is this the new means of getting money? An interesting point. The Abu Sayyaf (southern Philippines version of AQ) did fund their operations by kidnapping rich foreigners and returning them after ransom money was paid. At one time, the exchange rate in Manila was 40 pesos=1 US dollar, while in the areas where Abu Sayyaf was the black market rate was 10 pesos=1 dollar. Why? Because they needed the US greenbacks to buy ammo and guns.

And we should share all this great speculation with the terrorists because?
Makes us feel clever and cute?
What?

I originally thought this was Al Queda. But the longer it goes on, the more I think it's a homegrown wacko. This guy is to smart to be some mohammad wanna be.

Simplier is better.
Citizen spots 2 "dark skinned" individuals in a white ladder van using a phone. Citizen calls 911, LEA responds.
OOPS, wrong people but can call immigration.

I agree. I actually thought of the same scenario today. Another possiblity is that it's a "witness" who wants to be paid off to turn in his compatriot. But I don't think so. I actually think it's terrorists. I just read that Falls Church VA has a very large Muslim community, know as Little Mecca. There are also 2 militant Muslim hideouts, communes with rifle ranges, in rural VA (also in CA NY, SC. (Washington Times 02/11/2002)

I think the most accurate thing that can be said right now is that we absolutely no idea of what is going on here.
None.

I think spy planes, and spy satellites have the phone booth locations programmed into their computers.
A white van at any of the locations will trigger an alert, and a swarm of agents which are already stationed up and down I-95.

Can't prove you right or wrong. I usually lean toward the terrorists being the snipers. I do not agree that our government is not doing anything though. If they think it is terrorism, they are right in the middle of this. We may not be told this for any number of reasons.
I also just heard the other day that we are in extreme danger of attacks, and this from a government spokesman.
Are you thinking those released in Cuba are ransom demand from the sniper? Interesting.
