Won't make this too long here just throwing out an idea here. The cops were watching this pay phone booth yesterday. 2 illegal immigrants pull up to it and we know the rest of the story. I came up with a theory today that I wanted some opinions on. I am thinking that the 2 men a Mexican and a Guataemalen were probably very common user's of this pay phone. Most illegal immigrants resort to using calling cards to call their homeland and usually early in the morning or real late at night depending on the time change of their country to the U.S..

The sniper cell is obviously traveling in different cars here. Maybe having cased a particular route everywhere there are white vans. These guys are watched for a couple of days and he sees that they use this payphone and have a truck fitting the description. Remember calling cards come up or are traced back to the number of the company that issues the card. Only then can the company trace back to what phone booth a call is made from.

So the sniper cell leaves a message from that phone number days ago after the 6th or 7th shooting. The law finally gets the number down and the message from the tips line as calls 8 and 9 come in. The cell demands money for an offshore account. The law tells them we can't do that for you today.

Is it possible that the offshore account was blackmail or extortion to an account that would funnel much needed money to other cells or an organization that found the means to use this money for funding operations? Ala Al Qaeda which trained in these very things? Electronical terrorism...and a host of other things by use of computers and banks.

I truly believe we are in the next wave here and the color chart is still sitting at code 3. Truly showing how useless it is. Al Qaeda and its supporting groups have had its money stripped from them for the most part and choked off. Is this the new means of getting money? They most certainly trained for this. They most certainly made these threats on our childred over the last year. They have most certainly trained for Urban Terrorism.

We have seen the CNN videos captured from Afghanistan. We have been warned of these types of attacks and methods. Yet, our government is trying its best to distance itself from terrorism. They will not show a picture of the missing French soldier who specialized in sniping so to say.

A French terrorist you say? Well who is sitting and playing our government in VIRGINIA like a fiddle? Moussaoi...the 20th hi-jacker.

Still don't think it is terrorism or Al Qaeda related? Prove me wrong...or add to this thread. Explain to me why the accent and the spelling of these notes is screaming of coming from a foreigner not familiar with the English language.

Prove me wrong or give me a reason why it is not Al Qaeda or terrorism FreeRepublic.com.

Why do I feel as if this country is protecting a certain group of people in this country right now because if the truth came out...the government would lose control of the population and the rest of the population would take matters into their own hands.

God how could we ever do that? Actually fight the war on terror on the home front.

And the government can berelied on , I think, to viciously side with the local Moslems/Arabs in such a brawl. Determined gun confiscation would likely result.

That I would like to see them try. Can't think of a good method for winning such a conflict. But if they were dumb enough to do that, this would be such a scenario.

Our French sniper is probably Muslim, an immigrant to France, perhaps... and is loose here. He'd be able to move in western society easier than a middle eastern born arab with no exposure to the West.

Well I have turned off the cable news networks for the night, unless their is something else that breaks. I have heard just about every theory get pummled to the ground today and really want to explore what everyone in the conservative forum is pondering in their own minds. Exactly. They are always described as nice, polite, loners or people who otherwise keep to themselves and don’t stand out. That’s because people that are gregarious and the center of attention tend to spill their guts and get caught. They like to be noticed. This guy does not. I wouldn't either at this point.

I’d like to see him captured but it’s going to be tough to do, IMO.

They do use calling cards, they don't have social security cards, it looked like a new car they just got from a buy here pay here place and all of the time they use phone cards because of the need for a social security number or some documentation to get a phone in their apartment. They were immediately deported.

My theory is that it's a government worker gone postal. Somewhat similar to the forest ranger who starts forest fires.

You are thinking along the same lines as a caller to KDKA radio tonight. (I know you know where that radio station is located.) He thinks it's a disgruntled police officer or someone in law enforcement who lives in Maryland as is living life on both sides of the gun. Hence, he knows what the police are doing and thinking every minute of the day.

Maybe that's why HE is the one the sniper wants to communicate with.

Which leads me to believe it is not an American doing this. Most would not be able to keep their mouth shut to be honest. We live in a gloating society in this country. We did not go through months or years in a rogue nation or training camp.

I had Abu in mind as well especially with the recent bombings going on there not to mention the pressure they have been under with even more U.S. military presence there. We have the Phillipines bombings,French tanker,Bali bombings and some other terror attacks in Pakistan on churches etc...I believe they should change that color chart right now or scrap it alltogether.

Yep... this is someone who has lived in this area a long time. Who knows the woods, etc. Who knows escape routs. This isn't some foriegner who just moved into town and set up shop.

If they are day laborers, they would be using the phone to call in to the agency or their employer to see if there was work for them that day, or to find out what location to go to.

Calling home (Mex. or Guat) every day would be a luxury for these guys.

I'd also add that the timing of the story about the French deserter is very suspicious. He had apparently gone AWOL back on September 2, yet the French government didn't report him to Interpol until the last week or so.
