Does anybody else find it a little strange to have such a kill ration with a .223 fired from any type of weapon? Why are they sure it is a .223 except for the casings that may be a hoax. Wouldn't a 22-250 or a .220 Swift use the same slug with much greater potency? I wonder if the cops have given that consideration. Could be a bench rest pistol in one of those rounds and be much more lethal than the dreaded assualt rifle.

I live just south of Richmond. I had to fill up this morning, and was really concerned, so for "comfort" I strapped on my .45 (you can carry legally in the open here). I thought that it might make other folks uncomfortable, but really didn't care. I was surprised to see about a half dozen other folks with the same idea.

I agree, and I can't believe they don't sense it themselves, especially when they do stories about the "media's" role in this story.

You can argue its bad policy, but Uncle Sam can pretty much do what he wants in National Security cases.
