CBS update (after WTOP 11:30 news) claims no official confirmation of death (announcement of condition expected at Moose's update at noon) but saying behavior of relatives at hospital suggests he died, though still a "rumor."

"Message to Chief Moose" from my favorite talk radio guy this morning was, "It's better to remain silent and thought a fool, then to open one's mouth and remove all doubt." Said Moose is in over his head and his news conferences "talking" to the killer are ridiculous.

He also said this media frenzy is feeding this guy's ego and he's absolutely loving the coverage. And it's resulting in more carnage.

And why all these "experts" on TV. Now David Asman asking someone ,"How can media work better with the police?"
Yea, lets just tell the killer everything. Says, "We'd like to be used". I like Asman, but, good grief.

No rebuke intended. Just speaking from my training. This shooter is taking the high percentage shot. He is less concerned with whether they live or not. Just taking the shot. The fear is the same regardless of whether they live or die.

I am mystified as to why there is no organized right-wing opposition to the conduct of the "war"-which seems to me to be entirely insufficient and hampered by PC thinking.

All of GWB's opposition is on the left, and they will have a hard time gaining from a worsened security environment.

The note found at the Ponderosa threatened children (per CNN)!! Law enforcement decided NOT to let the public know about this and told the media to keep it under wraps. Someone however, did break the story today and CNN followed suit. How could they put children in danger by keeping this from the public!!

Speaking of "sniper training" I heard something on the news last night about Wal-Mart pulling the video game "Sniper" off the shelves in response to the attacks in and around DC. Anyone else hear on this one?

My concern with this LEA talking to the media, pleading the the perp is not so much that it feeds his sick/power hunger, whatever... My concern is that it just shows the masses more and more, who is really in control. It shows that the LEA have no clue or idea who this cat is. And it makes them appear as whimpering simps when they cry, and plead with the perp to call back. It makes the LEAs look impotent. And I am beginning to believe that maybe they are. I hope not. But stop the pleading. Stop the crying. If you don't have anything to say, stay off the Damn TV. You are looking impotent. You look totally out of control.
