The bus driver was about to start his morning run the article says. The run according to the schedule I just posted started at 5:18am. This wasn't called in until about 5:45am as I understood it. This shooter had plenty of time to leave the city before someone found the bus driver.

So far, no mention of witnesses at the time of the shooting.

And IMHO the LE are facilitating that by keeping certain peices of relevant information from the public, especially locals. If the 3-page note threatened schools, for instance, that should have been broadcast

Any release of information should be modified in such a way that ordinary nuts can't generate phony notes. I suppose if they have handwriting, that would be enough.

IMO he lives alone. I am now leaning toward the fact that he is getting help. Help in recon. One of the early shoots they supposely found a sheet of paper with directions to the gas station. If that is true, then someone is reconning for him. Then delivering directions to him. Would suspect they don't live together. May never speak directly. Just communication of the directions to the recon spot. Either way, I think the shooter moves about and acts alone when he is out on an operation. Again, he will be someone that has on interpersonal relationships. Those are too dangerous. Again just my opinion.

I've heard both McVeigh and Unibomber refered to. I truly can't believe Rita Cosby contacted David Berkowitz for a statement about the sniiper.

What bothers me is the nonreaction from the media on this very telling quote by Moose.

Why not follow up on that quote?? MSNBC did show that quote a couple of times but did not elaborate on it. Just left that quote for the audience to hear. Think if we emailed Fox News this quote, they would put this question to Moose at the next press conference?? Would love to see his reaction to it.

Not much happened after 911 to the the American Muslims in this country.( a few random acts against innocents by idiots) All in all the country as a whole was very restrained considering we could have bombed Afghanistan off the map the same day.

I've been following this situation but I have not commented on it as of yet. I think I will today. The location of the shooting is real close to where I think this guy lives. I've told my wife and co-workers that I felt the shooter resided somewhere in the Aspen Hill area between Connecticut and Georgia Avenues.

Mind you this is an unqualified opinion, but I think I will post it and you all can feel free to pick it apart.

1. Serial killers tend to start off in what they would concider their comfort zone. Near to where they live and or work. Using the Non-hit shooting at the Micheals store as shooting number 1, look at the first 7 shootings and now shooting 13. Shooting 1 and 4 are off Aspen Hill Rd. (1. Aspen Hill, and Georgia. 4. Aspen Hill and Connecticut) Also note that shootings 2,5,and 7 are directly down Georgia Ave and shooting 6 is directly down Connecticut Ave. Shooting 3 is the only one that does not fit the pattern.

2. It is pretty well established that this sicko is following the news and reacting to it. They said our schools were safe. He takes a shot at a school. They said he shoots to the body. He takes a head shot. They said they think they got him in Baltimore. He does what appears to be his most sloppy killing at a Home Depot that evening. Lately they have been speculating that he is moving south. This shot took place back up north and symbolicly slightly north of where I think he lives.

3. Lately, after a shooting there is a big push to shut down roads and search vehiciles. I feel that this shooting was close enough to "home" that he might have returned home on foot, put the weapon away, and hop in the car and head for work. This would also explain the earliness of the shooting. Had to get it done before he had to head off to his job.

These are just my observations. I have other notions as to his occupation, marrital status, and psyche but as I said this is an unqualified opinion and I don't want to muddy the water too badly.

They range from Johnnie Walker to Padilla to the mostly American-born black members of the cell busted in Portland recently.

That's a very good point. I wondered whether LE checked into the prison background of the false Home Depot witness to see if he could be a possible prison convert/recruit

You are correct, the shooter could have easily targeted someone in Montgomery County or the Falls Church shootings dressed in Muslim garb. Whenever I'm in the area, I always see Muslim peoples. With that being said I'm still not convinced its the work of Arab terrorists, but each new shooting is leading me towards that conclusion.

I go back and forth - domestic nut case vs. Islamic nut case. I was thinking all weekend, if it is an Islamic nut case, then when are they going to target a church or synagogue. Somehow, I keep thinking that must be on their target list.

You really can't believe anything the government tells you. Rintense point about the reason they are not telling us the sightings identify Middle East ethnics is I think correct.

One of the most telling things that is also happening now with no attention from the mainstream press is that Ashcroft yesterday also announced that they are going to reopen the investigation into the Oklahoma City bombing--really also done by Middle East terrorists some of whom came from Iraq; not white supremists at all. Government just tells you what they want you to believe from time to time--who cares what the facts really are.

This is the real reason they are not telling you what the facts are here--nothing to do with detective work and catching the bad guys; they want to hold on to the facts so that they can tell you what they want you to believe.

Could very well be. I was really leaning toward that yesterday. but if there are demands for money, well, that throws a kink in my reasoning. AQ I would think, would not make a demand for money. They would have that. Unless, our governments shut down of their financial accounts and the disruption of their financing has got them to resorting to ransom demands for an infusion of case. Seems unlikely, but the thing that has come to me in this, is that you cannot rule anything out. Nothing. Everything is on the table.
