Let's keep a live commentary thread gonig again today.
Oh, fer cryin out loud! Get a grip. We need all the LEOs we've got, cause I guarantee we are going to lose some before this is over. You are expecting something they can't possibly deliver. We are at war--and we are all in it together.
Even if they could suddenly sweep up every member of this cell today, do you think another wouldn't take its place tomorrow?
Me too, every since I dropped her off this a.m. I have been corresponding on FR. Have to leave in a few minutes to go pick her up, but I'll be back.
I haven't read all of the posts, but I think there is something big going on.
Think about it! How would you get the officer in - charge to deliver non-stop messages to the press? Before he went to the NATIONAL MEDIA, he had to accept the fact that he would be setting a bad precdent for future would-be snippers and secondly he would look like a "fool" for being yanked around by the "sniper". In short, he would only do this if he knew the "sniper" could cause serious harm to the public.
My question is this, does the sniper have WMD?
Go find a pail of sand and bury your head in it. Seriously, I agree with you to an extent, unless this was a terrorist plot from the start, and then, the media is doing its job well, and we can get on with the business at hand, kicking terrorist a$$
It could mean:
1. We can't keep on closing the schools without parents becoming suspicious
2. We think the perps mean it when they say "ANYWHERE" and we don't want anybody getting real mad at us when kids start getting shot nationwide.
3. All of the above.
radio? maybe
FR? NEVER!
mh, what i was getting at is that even cons have a code.
a kid killer won't live long 'inside' ...
Yes, they should be deported (or at least interned for the duration). And unreliable Moslem citizens should be interned. It's the only way they're going to be safe now anyway. Intern and deport.

You can keep the schools open and station the National Guard around them.
Judge Napolitano said this on Fox News. He said it's time to bring out the National Guard.
Some yahoo on one of the news channels last night was actually stating that the schools were forced to close because so many parents were just not sending their kids anyway. Basically, he was FOS and I was pretty sure of it at the time.
And has been since Thursday Oct. 3. Interesting fact.
It is relavent to this thread and I don't care what you think."
I agree. I think a part of the debate will come down to our form of government. The preamble to the Constitution states that one of the purposes of our government is "to provide for the common defense". Our existing government is no longer doing that for reasons related to politically correct thought; the imposition by various minorities of directed voting power to impede the constitutional course of government; and other considerations related to international policy goals such as a new world order which do not have the interest of United States citizens as their first priority.
Bush is a big part of that problem, as is the existing perversion of the democratic process. I believe we will have a constitutional crisis before the end of the current administration and attention ought to be directed here, as well as in other domestic political circles about what to do about this state of affairs.
The government's response to the sniper, as to other domestic attacks, has been to declare war on American citizens instead of on the enemy. Bush is responsible. We need to do it some other way.
I would not be surprised to see more schoolyard attacks, as well as attacks on people around their homes outside. Or in parks. So far, the guy has stuck primarily with public venues like stores and gas stations - but I think that if he isn't caught soon, he will start taking other approaches, particularly if stirred up by public speculation about what he can/can't do and what he will/won't do.
