Someone in the thread commented on the French soldier and reports of his being Yugoslavian. Found this article from ABC

RTL radio reported the deserter was of Yugoslav origin, but Bureau could not confirm that, saying that he had to be a French citizen to attend the military school.

It well might be a lone sniper with ME sympathies but I'm still more inclined to think it is a cell. If not you can be certain that terrorist cells are keeping close tabs on the situation and taking notes on how we react and where the flaws are in the system.

Does anyone else remember reading recently about what was thought to have been a terrorist training camp in Alabama ? It was in an old rock quarry or something like that ? There was an old school bus and a police car there, both were all shot up.

Seems to me that the quickest way to nab the shooter is to stop using the media to "send messages" to the killer and start broadcasting the specific vehicle info round the clock until they locate the maggot. How far do you suppose he get get in this area with everyone listening to radio in their car looking for that specific vehicle with those specific tag numbers.

Think the two shooters have separated. One is down south and one is up north. We'll see when the ballistics come back.

It sounded like lying to me. When there are two opposite things being said, usually one or the other is lying. On the one hand we hear threats, see schools closed. On the other hand, schools open, no threat mentioned and when questioned, it's denied or hedged. It doesn't inspire confidence. People need to have confidence in what they are and are NOT being told. Oh Lord, there I go again. ROFLOL. I'm hopeless.

I find it interesting that this Killer can find so many ideal sniper nests with good escape routes when the MD/VA metro area has been crawling with LEOs for more than 2 weeks. I doubt this guy would want to expose himself walking around on recon missions in back lots and wooded areas a day or 2 before he kills. It seems to me that this Killer had scoped out all these areas BEFORE he went on his rampage.

Also, I don't know why there haven't been cameras set up on ALL ROADS in the Region. The Killer has to go somewhere and if video can place certain cars at certain places on a time line that would be valuable information.
