Otherwise we need to begin exercising our freedoms as moose suggests in earnest. Can we start carrying our rifles around now? Will people look at me strange if I got one slung over my shoulder while I pump gas, go to the grocery store, drop my kid off at school and make my way into work?

I agree that a stong stance, front if you will, is necessary. As much as I undertand that Moose is in a precarious situation, he is far from presenting such a front.

I think the decision to close the schools in the Richmond area came from the school officials. That's their decision, not the police. They can only make recommendations to the school district. Whether the school district chooses to follow their recommendation is up to the school administrators.

It's been on my mind as well. It hit me yesterday when I saw an article about the war being on ice, I think was the headline.

Then again a few minutes ago an article was posted along the same lines, about giving Saddam more time, and working with UN deadlines, 135 days or something.

That's what I'm thinking here.

I am sickened by this Press Conference. The media won't SHUT up about the school closings, or parental concerns.

Chief Moose is going thru hell right now, and he needs to back off, let someone else take over for awhile and get some rest.

Look at his face, people...he is ready to crack up under the strain of what happened yesterday and now today. I can't believe some of the stupid questions that are being presented to him, and he is standing there taking them all...geeze.

It's just my opinion, but I think somebody needs to tell the press that they are NOT an arm of law enforcement.

They don't even have the decency to stay OFF a crime scene unless the police are there to stop them.
