Dick Morris Predicts Demmycrats Will Win Both Houses
Fox News | October 21, 2002 | PJ-Comix

Posted on 10/21/2002 7:07:05 PM PDT by PJ-Comix

I just saw Dick Morris on Hannity & Colmes predict that as of right now it looks like the Demmycrats will win both Houses of Congress. In a way this sure gives vindication to my nightmare. In another thread I predicted that if Douglas Forrester loses NJ then the Demmycrats will retain control of the Senate. However, if Forrester wins in NJ then the Republicans will pick up 3 seats in the Senate. Don't ask me how I know but I know. This is all part of my NIGHTLY nightmare which involves me SCREAMING at Douglas Forrester to pick up the phone and call Howard Stern to gain his endorsement. In my nightmare, Forrester is always about to make that all-important phone call but then backs out as I wake up screaming (as I do every morning): "DOUG---CALL HOWARD!!!"

Well I sure would feel a lot better if Douglas Forrester would only make that phone call to Howard Stern. Somehow in that RECURRING nightmare I am made to understand that control of the Senate hinges on that phone call. I know this sounds ridiculous but my recurring dreams/nightmares always reflect a sort of reality. I don't have such dreams/nightmares often but when I do I know they are significant.

BTW, another recurring nightmare I have (at least once per month but often more frequent) is that my beard gets shaved off against my will. Somehow I know (even though this isn't made specific in the nightmare) that I would be dead within a month of such an event which is why I haven't shaved my beard since I grew it years ago.

Now to you, a nightmare about getting a beard shaved might not sound so horrible but whenever I have such nightmares, I always wake up clutching at my face to reassure myself that the beard is still there. Hey my life depends on it!

hehe, good point... Dick Morris has a HORRIBLE track record as a pundit, but he's still damn entertaining to watch and I like to hear what he has to say.

I agree. What is so funny is that he says stuff like it is fact and is wrong way more often than he is right

George Pataki was DOWN 20 points a week before the 1994 election and a week later won by 6 points due to Howard's endorsement.

Yeah, I'll admit he may have some pull in the NY/NJ area... I remember him trying to defeat a judge in OH and he fell on his face though. It was a judge that was up for re-election that had presided over a case in which HS had his antenna cable cut (or something similar). He's no king-maker, no matter what he says...

Mr. Morris was saying the exact opposite last week. He changes his mind every few days.

Yes. He also "predicted" that Hilary Clinton would not be elected Senator from New York.

As for the Lazio Hillary race, he thought that the events in the Mid-east were backfiring on her, that her support among Jews was lukewarm at best, and that Lazio could, with an upstate surge, win this "razor-thin" race. He thought it would be 50-49 in the end.

I remember that. It was the drunken judge McDrinky. Unfortunately, McDrinky had only token opposition in that race.

I hope he's wrong, but the Dems must be picking up at least a quarter million votes per year beacause of immigrants becoming naturalized and eligible to vote (legally). If the Dems don't get both houses this year they will in two years (along with the Presidency). And they won't have to give them back - ever (OK, at least not until the GOP is devoid of the last vesige of Conservative values). Demographics trump everything.

It's not even really Jorge's fault. The new voters of 2002 entered the pipeline years ago as legal immigrants or amnesty recipients. Blame his daddy, Reagan, and the GOP Congressfolk who failed for years to undo the ravages of the '65 Immigration Act, and who have even worsened the rot by approving "amnesties", "lotteries" and other such giveaways.

I remember seeing Morris on Fox the night of the election in 1998, predicting a 30-40 seat gain for the GOP, all the while grinning that smarmy grin, while the GOP held on by the skin of its teeth. I remember ranting at the screen because the results were coming in and it sure as heck WASN'T a 30-40 seat gain. I haven't trusted a thing he said after that. In fact, if Morris said this tonight, I've gotten more confident of keeping the House and regaining the Senate.

You conveniently ignore that many immigrants(and natives, for that matter) vote more conservatively as they move up the income/class ladder.

I have noticed a trend here on FR that always rings true. Any post that refers to our President as 'Jorge' is guaranteed to be a clueless screed of negativity.

He does a lot of that "triangulation" lying that he used to get beelzebubba re-elected.

Exactly,...

Morris is a one-trick pony who prides himself on having put politicians into (and kept in) office through nothing more than deception. Smoke and mirrors.

This man treats governing like campaigning. As if the issues and principles (a foreign term to him) are nothing more than x's and o's on a coach's clipboard.

Sooner or later the trick plays lose out to the team and staff that's solid on fundamentals.

If he's right, this country's going down faster than I thought.

I had a very real dream two nights ago. I have to preface this by saying that I never dream about politics. But here I was in a crowded theater, or some such, and Hillary and her offspring were there. They suddenly stood up and walked up the isle to the back and as they did so the crowd rose to their feet and started clapping and cheering and there I was yelling BOOOOO, HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS at at the top of my lungs among that sea of cheers.

Next thing I saw was Hillary, of the 1960's page boy hairdo's, sitting down, demurely, at the back of the theater with Chelsea standing next to her, to announce her withdrawal from the political campaign for office in which she was running. I have no clue what campaign that would be. The crowd was going wild. Chelsea with lifted chin, hands on hips and big smile was glaring at the crowd.

The reporters were crowding Chelsea for a statement and she
told them to "you know what" with that wide Hubble smile. One journalist turned to the crowd, now silent, and pronounced Chelsea a spoiled offensive brat. All the while Hillary sat there with that "pretty in pink' smirk on her face. After her announcement she never said another word nor did she look at the crowd.

I woke up!

Could it be in her next run for the senate, she is losing and pulls a NJ two step? Or, a Presidential run in 2004 or 2008 and finds she is just to ill with devestaing fatal cancer to go on? She would have to find a reason that victimized her so that she would not have to fall on her sword. Verrrrrrrrrry Interesting!
