Geeeez. I'm sure they guy can't wait to call again! Really. And I'm betting these guys don't "want to be caught" nor do they want to go down in a blazing gunfight if they can avoid it. As for all these profilers out there, with 50 cents and the bunch of them I might get a cup of coffee. We're in uncharted territory here, welcome to 21st century warfare.

I wasn't targeting you by yourself, your comment about Moose was rather tame, sorry if I hurt your feelings.

I wasn't denigrating the man. I just saw 'Call back...message unclear' and thought of the Magic 8-ball response that is very similar. I would have made the same joke whether it were President Bush or Clinton. Maybe you weren't referring to me in any case, but I understand that the guy is under an enormous amount of pressure. That said, nobody ASKED him to become Chief. If he isn't up to it, he should expect reasonable criticism. But again, that's not what you were referring to.
To: RobFromGa
Must admit that I agree with you.

Mega "Guffawing" Dittoes for Don Martin!

I'm sure they tracked down the phone number and it is either a phone booth or some other public number, maybe even the Sniper Tip Line.
To: TrappedInLiberalHell
I have been thinking the EXACT same thing. If correct, we may be in for a very bad week if this guy is not caught. He now knows what is in store for him.

Question here.......
How is it that no matter where these shootings take place, Moose is the one in front of the camera speaking on behalf of all jurisdictions. HOWEVER, when asked at the press non-conference, he said he would not speak for the other jurisdictions on what the staus of the 2 indiviuals that were arrested was? Seems like double speak to me.
To: TrappedInLiberalHell
There is a big difference between the "jokes" and the rest. I just think that if his name was Rudy, he would be given a little more lee-way, especially by us "law-and-order" types.
I don't know whether he's doing a good job on this investigation or not, but I DO respect that he is in a much tougher position than I am.
I also believe that he is doing what he believes is RIGHT. How many politicians can you say THAT about?

Thank you for your statement on this thread re: I wish everyone would get off Moose's back. I agree with you. It's amazing to me how some on this site will resort to name calling, ridiculing,...etc...as soon as they don't agree with the action/actions of someone else...it's one reason I don't post much here anymore...lots of armchair quarterbacking with no logic...it would be interesting to see what these same people would do if they were in the Chief's shoes...

Frankly I don't care what was said. I don't expect to know every little detail as I am just a concerned citizen. OF COURSE there are going to be many details they keep secret, or as secret as they can until the press stumbles in and leaks away.
I think we should just let the Law do it's job, and maybe watch a little less TV news. Seems obvious we aren't supposed to know what this cryptic message means. Only the Sniper will know. My .02$

He just heard the audio to some old movie soundtrack. The actual words which are so unclear to him are...."PHONHOMET" For actual meaning, might I suggest a call to Drew Barrymore?

Let's hope the killer wasn't giving coordinates for his next kill and the time. May God help law enforcement decipher this information.
