Oh Lord. I sure do, they were just everywhere, in buildings, schools, water departments, airports, monuments, who knows where all they really were.

In other words, that definition focuses on an extortion by an individual to an individual. What is it called when it's made by an organization to a govt entity? Or by an individual to a govt entity?

All this reminds me a lot of the scenario in the Movie Speed. One person, with some issue. Seems to have a plan and is in control. Escalating the stakes incident by incident. Chief Moose is playing the Kenau Reeves part, except he's not on the bus. The sniper(s) has built some kind of relationship with him during this all. Or as in Speed, he may have some previous encounter with Moose. That may be why the initial spree of killings was in Moose's district. That way Moose gets pulled into the "game" as the sniper sees it. I wonder if the cops have considered some movie copycat scenario like this? Just wondering.....

Thanks. I don't know either. The shooter is cunning, that's for sure. The lack of public information in this case is stunning to say the least.
We know the shooter shoots from a distance, but that's about all they'll tell us. I'd like to know if he shoots from the van or panel truck or uses the foliage for concealment. I think he/they do/does both, but the filtered news won't tell us anything.
Very bad things are going to happen by Thanksgiving/Christmas time, of that I am certain. My sheeple friends think this shooter is probably a lone gunman, but I think otherwise.
I'll be in DC this coming weekend and I hope we can get together. I'll send you a freepmail in a day or two.

Denying Dowdy bail on a misdemeanor charge is highly unusualThe man has a criminal history and was just released from jail in September.
Perhaps he is in violation of parole?

about schools...
"Local talk radio this afternoon hinted strongly that the authorities have reason to believe that a Richmond area school was a probable next target. Upon hearing that, many parents called and insisted that the Richmoond schools close again Tuesday. Immediately, the other area school districts, even as far south as Prince George, followed suit. "

The details about Linda Franklin's work that appeared in newspaper articles about her after her murder suggested possible involvement in the sniper investigation: classified analysis work for the FBI, she worked in an infrastructure protection outfit that worked with private businesses, she herself devised a program for passing warnings and tips to private businesses, she expected to be transferred to the new homeland security department.
But the clincher was the article about her in the Washington Times. The person the reporter chose to contact to deliver the standard sort of statement about her work was Gary Bald. Gary Bald heads up the FBI's sniper investigation.
I think that evidence is stronger than official denials which I can easily imagine reasons for making if they are not true.

Oh wow, thank you. This is awful to say, but my friends have been running errands after a shooting. They think it's when they might be safer. They really aren't certain if it's best to take the highways or use the back streets. They don't know what to watch for, as noone has told them.

You will see it reduced in a few days. Quietly I might add, but it will be.Why do you conclude this and to what are you referring--the bail being denied or the charges?
The man has a record and in fact was just released from incarceration. I disagree with your conclusion that anything will be "reduced" before his next court date set for November.

Dowdy could be convicted by a DC jury of being an accomplice to murder for his stunt--oh wait, is Johnny Cochran still around?
