...go put on that dress and look pretty, dammit!... Can't, 'cause in between posts I'm stepping out back to split firewood. Might get dirty. Do you have any idea what quality dry-cleaning costs these days?

"It's the prudent thing to do."
I don't know why, that statement just reminded me of that scene from Airplane!:
The white zone is for immediate unloading passengers only. There is no stopping in the red zone.

The red zone is for loading and unloading passengers. There is no stopping in the white zone.
No. The white zone is for loading and unloading. There is not stopping in the red zone.
The red zone's always been for loading and unloading. There is no stopping in the white zone.
Don't tell me which zone's for stopping and which zone's for loading!
Betty, don't start your white zone @#%$ again. There is just no stopping in the white zone.
Really, Vernon, why pretend? We both know what you're talking about. You want me to have an abortion.
It's really the only sensible thing to do. If it's done properly, therapeutically, there's no danger involved.

I've noticed it, too, you know.... Woman's natural instinct is to keep our loved ones safe - it's how we are made, and it's right for us. But when we are single, when there is no man to lean on... then we must force ourselves to think more logically - this does not mean what we feel is wrong, only that what we feel is not necessarily to be acted upon.
Most people weren't meant to be single, I think.

No, not being emotional at all. To the contrary, it was stated matter of factly and with sincerity. You know nothing about me yet you equate me to Neville Chamberlian, a Nazi pacifist, at the least. And your rants on this thread, are full of emotional undertones. Your transparency deceives.

YOU MEAN YOU ARE GOING OUTSIDE?!?!?!
But, but, but,.......the sniper might GET YOU!!!!
DUCK!!!!!!
To: per loin
CD, I hear the honest fear in your words
No you don't because I'm not afraid but I'm not there. I'm biased because I have little respect of public schools but I'm saying if they want to keep their kids close tomorrow that's their business. CD
To: ingodwetrust
I have to admit I was a bit frustrated with you and your rantings last night, but I have to say I'm with ya tonight!
I'm pretty sure my positions haven't changed since last night so I'm not sure what that says about me and you :-)

Most people weren't meant to be single, I think. I was.
Frankly, as much as I love women, I just dont think I was meant to be one of those shoulders to cry on. Not that emotions are bad, but in times of danger, just so inappropriate.
Some people have a problem with the fact that men and women are different. I wouldnt ask a man about nurturing a rock, but I wouldnt ask a woman (except Condi) about how to protect our nation. No offence.

No,I won't...we are not palistinians our children are not to be used in any way shape or form.
Americans protect their children,at all costs, to the death, I don't give a damn what any terrorist thinks. We should'nt use our children so you men can prove your manliness and show terrorist your not afraid. Go out and DO what men are spose to do. Protect their families.....You've dropped the ball lately.

Emotional undertones?
I think I have been insulted. :-)

....the sniper might GET YOU!!!! ... Silly Buddha. It's dark out and I'm splitting wood with the lights off while wearing my night-vision goggles. I keep a fresh set of batteries charged at all times.

Sending children to school is now USING THEM?
I think you need a nap.
To: BuddhaBoy
No offence taken.
Sounds like you haven't met a real woman yet, one who won't get hysterical when things get rough.

Dont forget your flak-jacket, dude.
I'll say a prayer....
To: Charles H. (The_r0nin)
If he felt challenged he would hit at 'unprotected' schools IMHO.
It does seem to me there must be some intel behind this, though it might not be very specific- such as some general statement about "children" from the sniper.
I don't see anything wrong with a day's delay- we're not set up for this kind of terror. Just arranging to cover all the bus stops near the interstates would be a nightmare.

Imagine 100 snipers.
Imagine 1,000 snipers.
It would shut down our nation.
To: SouthernFreebird
DID you read his post 135? How about this part....
"By the way, we live in Richmond, and we have a son in the 9th grade. He has learned not to be intimidated by snipers, bullies, government, and the politically correct soccer moms and soccer dads who seem to have reared their ugly heads right here."
Kids at the age of 15 should be able to hold their own...not that we don't want to protect them, but we cannot shelter them from the world forever! We are AT WAR!
Besides, once they know we're "scared" it's over.
P.S. I'm a woman/mother/grandmother
To: SCalGal
Ummm, is that a come-on? LOL! The Buddha is always looking for real women. (he said with a sly grin.........)
To: BuddhaBoy
Because answering would require reasonHow about if you give it a shot.
