Beltway Sniper attempted contact last night !

Very short press conference where he simply states that the Beltway Sniper attempted contact and Chief Moose requested that he call them back.

Hey dog,the guys they arrested in NY were home grown muslims and US citizens.

True, and we'd be crazy not to pursue every lead, and everyone who could have a motive. I'm just suggesting that all the clues we know about so far are more consistent with someone who is not associated with al-Qaida.

It still could be. They could have used "God" instead of Allah on the tarot card (another Islamic no-no) to throw us off.

But generally, terrorists brag about their accomplishments, not try to pin their actions on someone else.

BTW, this behavior not limited to islamic groups, the IRA also utilized this type of contact. We will know better when we hear their demands....They aren't calling because they like the sound of Chief Moose's voice....

I heard again today on one of the Sunday talk shows that President Bush gets briefed on this case every morning by FBI Director Mueller. Source: Condi Rice. You can bet that in this case it's not Moose that is calling the shots.

I already responded that if the # was 911 it would change my mind completely.

I am only saying that this points toward a local. I am not stuck in that opinion. I intend to keep an open mind on this and consider all of the evidence.

The number could have been 911 and Moose interpreted it as a phone number.

They would still be able to get a general location of where the caller is and provide a swarm response......

But cell technology with disposable phones can leave little to go on.....you'll be able to pin it a cell site within a few moments however that could cover a fairly large area....
