CHILD SUPPORT: Officials say suspect had threatened staff before.
Two floors of the 19-story Atwood Building were evacuated Thursday morning after a man parked his blue Mercedes near the building's entrance, doused the car with gasoline and set it ablaze.

Gay person, go read your own posts. You seem to be supporting this guy. He's a deadbeat scumbag.

What "mistakes in judgment" are you referring to? Getting married?
To: independentmind
how the heck do you think that kids are becoming more barbaric, that we're failing more so as a society in child-rearing than we used to? One factor is that men are not strong in the family. The wife can kick them out any time she wants, the police will back her up. Who will discipline and lead the children if the men are discouraged from their roles by this new regime which you encourage?
Yeah, kids are growing up monsters. In elementary schools all the authority figures are either female or male homosexuals. The boys are being turned off to schools systematically by femi-nazis who control those schools. Look how for every 1 girl is on ritalin they put 7 boys on it. Look how 80% of achievers in school now grades 1-12 are female. Look how 55% of college students are female.
We are building disaster and dysfunctionalism for our nation's future. The destruction of marriage by dangling divorce incentives in front of the women and the systematic unjust treatment of men who've fallen into the divorce trap are each just part of the picture going on here.
For families to work the men need to be allowed to be fathers and husbands. This means the man is boss of the family. This means the women accept their roles that god gave them. If the woman wants out, or the man wants out, then the government should facilitate that choice. But the government should not undermine the man's role in the family by intervening with these divorce incentives. That is civilizational suicide.

Judging from the picture, that "Mercedes" is about twenty years old.
It's all a liberal plot. That's really a Yugo touched-up to look like a Mercedes so as to make this working class hero look like some evil Republican deadbeat.
BTW, by owning a Mercedes, he should have a bumper sticker that says "I have a small penis."

You are closed-minded, and I dont think you are paying any attention to the points raised here at all. Sarcasm wont replace dialog, and you might consider reading the posts that you are arguing against.
To: CajunConservative
You are a true saint. We could use many more like you.

Can't blame a person for whatever weird name their parents gave 'em.
Yeah, but apparently we've all decided she's a Democrat demon or something, so we're gonna engage in Katherine Harris-esque personal attacks on her. I mean, she has a funny name, Jethro, yuk yuk yuk.

Take your head out of the sand. Smell the coffee. Wake up to the fact that divorce is an industry that is founded in Court bias towards allowing mother's custody and child support in a great majority of cases, regardless of the woman's qualifications to be a good parent. Would'nt you pay an attorney a couple of thousand dollars for a guaranteed 18 year annunity that would pay out 25-50 times as much?
Take the lawyers out of divorce and divorce cases would decline rapidly, IMO.

I think you either have a problem with reading comprehension, or you're faking it to lay some propaganda on us.
Yeah, you got me. If a fellow conservative disagress with you, label him a liberal in disguise. Like friggin clockwork. Actually, I'm Bill Clinton and I've been posting as a social and economic conservative for hte last 2 years just to lull you all into a false sense of security so as to unleash my sinister plot to champion child support. Moooohahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!! Ya got me.

Unfortunately these days, Justice is many times only a case of which side has the better lawyer...not what is right or wrong.
It doesn't work anything like that at all nowadays. The federal government provides funding to states in proportion to the amount of child support ordered. To get funding, states must use formulae, called "child support guidelines" to calculate the amount of child support to be awarded. In response every state uses a formula the produces arbitrarily high amounts. It's as though every woman in the country has a miracle worker for a laywer, and every man represents himself. It doesn't matter how much he spends on a lawyer or who his lawyer is.
You have likely missed other related news stories on child support. They don't even care if the man ordered to pay child support is the father or not. See
Governor Gray Davis: The California Weenie, and
Virginia Child Support Panel to Suggest Increase; Special Interest Influence Apparent for example.

However, that doesnt remove the fact that she picked him. Men and women both need to make better choices BEFORE children come into the mix. 8 years? That is a long time to be with a wife-beater

I know that a man who torches his own car in somebody else's parking lot, then kicks out a window in a patrol car is a man who has no business being around children.
No, you don't know that. He could be a much more loving and a much better parent than you'll ever be.
To: BuddhaBoy
"Kids are wonderful things, but I feel very fortunate not to have any."
I'm glad you don't either.....
considering that you think of children as "things"...
very sad...

My girlfriend had a kid by an abusive scumbag You answered your question in your first sentence. Why would someone with any sense have a child with such a loser? It takes two to tango, friend. I hope your girlfriend has more on the ball these days with you, then she did back then. Women decide when or if sex is going to occur, and who it will occur with. If she got down and dirty with a bum, she is 50% responsible for what happens afterwards.
OK, so explain to me how this excuses him from owing child support. Really, explain it to me.
To: Conservative til I die
So why don't YOU help your girlfriend?
To: independentmind
You make an excellent point.
To: Conservative til I die
He's a deadbeat scumbag.
You've proven yourself incapable of objective reasoning. You don't know anything about the guy except that he engaged in an act of protest that got attention.

I wanna know what his FR handle is.

I said what I said, and it doesnt require "translation" from someone with apparent comprehension problems.
It must really suck to be you, you are so angry and sarcastic, it appears you only post to read yourself thinking (if you can call it that). The rest of us will carry on without you, thanks.
Tip: Bold type is for emphasis. Try typing something deserving of such, okay? Bold typed sarcasm is just silly.

You falsely claimed that everyone posting in the first dozen posts is against supporting their children. Now you're fudging again, with an argument about labeling people liberal if you disagree. I didn't call you a liberal. I pointed out that your comment was not consistent with the facts you used to falsely label all the people who posted the first dozen posts.
