Hanover County Shooting [Ashland, Virginia- North of Richmond]

Just reported. Took place outside of a Ponderosa Steakhouse. Not sure if it is related or not at this time. Police have shut down parts of I-95.

As long as we're going for the small historical details. Didn't the Japanese land somewhere in Oregon?
(I know they actually invaded Alaskan Islands, which was a territory, and, of course, bombed Pearl Harbor in a territory. Do territories count as "our soil?" Oregon counts, but I'm not sure of my history here.

If you are not the sniper you shouldn't mind. If you are not the sniper you shouldn't mind us checking all of your records to determine where you have been and at what times for the last few weeks. If you are not the sniper you shouldn't mind opening your trunk. If you are not the sniper you shouldn't mind giving us a DNA sample so that we can match it up with evidence when we get it. If you are not the sniper you shouldn't mind telling us about your neighbors. If you are not the sniper you shouldn't mind us smartening up you gun a little bit so that it reports to a central registry when it is fired. Etc., Etc. You have nothing to fear if you are not the sniper and do as you are told Oh great! now we are guilty untill proven inoccent.

I think this would be a great place to hide a bunch of terrorists who don't want to die - but they still want to kill us. If they're using a decoy vehicle, they could come and go and not be so obvious.
