Just reported. Took place outside of a Ponderosa Steakhouse. Not sure if it is related or not at this time. Police have shut down parts of I-95.

Yes, for many reasons, civil suits, sew hungry people and money hungry lawyers along with panty-waisted dilitant liberals who feel the need to protect everyone from everything while giving even toiletpaper the same rights as man. As well as the below attitude of those to incompetent to try and do something themselves

I too have been in similar situations as that. I have four citations that I have received for helping strangers, only one was a good one.

(a) I made a citizens arrest of a mugger who I saw beat an elderly woman (she was hospitalized, he got 6 months and I got yelled at for physically restraining him for 20 minutes while police arrived as well as a fine from court for violating his rights.

(b) I was 17, I was at a club and smoking outside, I saw my friend push some drunk off his girlfriend, I ran up because the drunk pulled a knife adn without thinking I jumped in the way, I got stabbed in the thigh and I grabbed the knife up the up swing almost cutting my thumb in half, four guys jumped the drunk and i got the knife and 22 stitches - we all got busted for brawling & pub disturbance.

I have had other instances but I keep doing my job as a person and do what I have to to stop criminals I see. No, I am not a cop, The one citation I have that is a good one is I stopped an armed carjacker in my office building and turned him over to the police that were chasing him, the citaion is from the building management, I never got anything from the police or city.

I saw that and thought the same thing. It was a shame and disgrace they can take the time, money and trouble to tutor Senators on how to avoid getting shot while golfing and have NO FURTHER information to release to the rest of us.

One thing I wondered right away. The media was reporting the setting up of roadblocks Northbound on I-95 - up to 60 miles North of the shooting. But nothing about southbound. Wouldn't it make much more sense for the shooter to head South from the beginning, away from the concentrations of LEOs? Go South, go to ground. Right?
