I guess you take your chances with gas, what can you do if the tank needs filling?I saw footage on Fox today of a station in Fairfax County where they've placed opaque blue tarps between the pumps and the street. Things have gone to hell in a handbasket when you can't even buy gas. The only thing I've ever worried about at a gas station is an idiot with a cigarette.

I want to play "DIRTY LAUNDRY" so bad!!i remember at rko in the 80s, i managed to get through to some guy who had just been in the middle of a hurricane. the interview was, and i am not making this up:
me: so maybe you can describe what it was like as the hurricane came ashore, what you experienced.
guy: started 'blowin.
me: and then what?
guy: blew some more.
me: and i guess it eased up quite a bit when the eye passed over you.
guy: yup. stopped blowin.
me: and then>
guy: started blowin again.
i mean, this was the one time in maybe 10 hours we'd gotten a phone connection through, and i get a guy who would describe a swan in flight as "big damn bird."
and now i'm gonna listen to cold, cold ground.

Texaco gas station manager on the phone:
A lady came in at approx. 8:30. Said someone was shot at Ponderosa. He dialed 911 and handed her the phone. The Ponderosa is 100 yds from I-95.

and probably taking off his turban to relax Boy, you must have travelled a lot. More than me.
I have been in a couple dozen moslem countries and I never have seen a man wearing a turban.
Could you kindly tell me, in what moslem country do men wear turbans?

I'm saying it from the scanner. Richmond PD just reported that license number is incorrect. I'm listening to the police action live.

Yes, the training film for public instruction of the zig-zag defensive running pattern is the wonderful scene of Peter Falk in "The Inlaws".

While I was in Wilmington, I heard some woman say that as soon as there is a shooting, they ALL go gas up, thinking he/they won't shoot again soon!

I was typing as she spoke......I understood her to mean, tonight's vehicle they are looking for is a "leased Chevy 2000 van," but sheeze, I may be wrong and she may have been talking about one of the other shootings, but darn, I don't think she was.

American intel had intercepts indicating Japanese and Japanese-Americans were in contact with Japanese intelligence, re intelligence and sabotage. The internments prevented any such actions.I watched a O North war heros the other nite on the Alamo Rangers on a mission in the Phillipines. In the archive video they said the Jappanese merchants were shop keepers one day and in their military uniforms the day the war broke out. I had never heard that before but it sure caught my attention.

Al Qaeda never does something small. That's why I think this sniper is just a lone nut. There's more than just AQ to consider. In the DC area alone are besides 2 AQ groups, also 2 Hamas and 2 Hezbollah, as well as one other I can't think of at the moment.
And the Palestinians are known to use snipers. This could be Hamas if it's foreign.
