Long before the Home Depot slaying, I recall news postings here that said that two guys that looked like Latinos (to a Marylander) were spotted in a white cargo truck.
That was after one of the first shootings.
The parking lanes are one way. Are we to believe this killer in the white van turned the wong way down a one way lane. If he was going the proper direction he pulled up behind the guy backing out. It is hard to get a good look through the body of your vehicle over your shoulder at a while van behind you.
But if the guy was going the wrong way it is very likely that he would not sit and glare. He is a killer trying to get away. If he doesn't get several miles down the road before the road is blocked he is toast. He has a rifle in the van. He can't get stopped and searched.
If he saw a car backing out blocking his way, he would be in reverse and backing out before any one could get much of a look at him. He would be looking in his rear view mirror or over his own shoulder backing up.
This liarn is no more credible than the last liar. They just can't prove he did not see a van or he would be in jail too. But he certainly did not see the van of a killer. Most likely he is making it up. I doubt there is a white van.
More likely a guy wearing a priests collar and driving a Ford Fiesta with a parsih name on the door.
Witnesses were describing these guys as "Hispanic" long before any described them as Middle Eastern.
Just how good are the Washington "snipers?" Are they skilled at all?
Therefore, a white guy.
If he got "a good look at the guy," then why no composite sketch?
So far, I think most of what we have heard is probably garbage. I'm not ready to assume anything.
No. It only debunks the fact that Dowdy saw anything at all.
It sounds as if Dowdy was taking a guess at the correct answer for the half million dollar reward.
A good guess, IMHO, but still a false statement.
So, now we can reduce that number of witnesses to four.
It doesn't change anything.
However, I'd say most construction guys are pretty good observers and "trouble-ready".
Kinda reminds you of the Atta incident in the airport parking lot.

There isn't enough information in any of the Robert Young reports to make any determination whatsoever.
Which lane was he in? Which direction did the "white van" come from? How did it go around the restaurant? Was he near the store, or near the back of the lot? Was this before or after the shot, and by how long?
The HD lot is small and usually crowded (I can't speak for Monday night), and there are frustrations in trying to navigate it and find a space: people parking, people exiting, customers walking in the lanes, or coming out with bulky Home Depot sorts of wares. Personally I always go to the upstairs lot, because it's considerably less difficult than parking downstairs.
So another agitated driver wouldn't surprise me at all. In fact is is quite common there in my experience (this is my local HD).
That this agitated person was "Middle Eastern" is not even relevant given that there is no other information.
