I do not think this is how "they" operate. More likely that if this is the work of small terrorist cells, they plan on doing it again, not just in DC, but in other areas of the country.

My guess is that the first few of these will be called "copy-cats", as have the various freeway shootings that have occured in the past few days.

Reaching for my ever handy tin-foil chapeau, I could position it firmly in place, and suppose that these freeway shootings are efforts made by other terrorist cells to try to disrupt freeway and interstate traffic.

I doubt that this would be very successful, as it is a lot harder to hit people in enclosed cars/trucks moving at 65mph, behind glass. But, it seems logical to assume they might try something like this.

And, on the John Walsh interview on FoxNews this morning! I nearly tossed the Post-Toasties at the screen when he was complaining that he felt "like a quarterback left on the sidelines during the superbowl" because he hadn't been included in on the hunt...

and then he went on to tout all the arrests he was personally responsible for... because of his show...

Did anyone but me think this was incredibly arrogant, and showed total insensitivity to the nature of the problem facing LE and the other Feds? I was so annoyed I felt like sending a note to Fox asking them to tell him to put a sock in it, already!

I am not impressed at all by him, and his copy-cat wannabe, Mark Klass. I find both of them trying to make a TV career after their children were murdered tasteless. And the egos! inserting themselves right in the midst of the loss of others, as if their loss has given them some divine right to be there and pontificate!

fact is that area it's not odd. "Alot of the people I saw interviewed from that Home Depot shooting seemed all foreign to me... I mean not one of them spoke English as a first language... it really struck me as so odd."

The fact that a white person was choosen in that area is odd.

If that were true he'd be poaching, not murdering, Takes a different breed of animal to shoot a 13 year old. Besides deer is everywhere around here. Fines are steep but no one would really mind as you can't go more then a day with out seeing one dead on the side of the road.

I am reading this late (Thurs. aft.)..OMG!! I thought I was the ONLY freeper who got the "willies" looking at this guy!

I was telling a freeper friend on email how this guy gave me the creeps so bad I had chills. I thought I really belonged to the official Tin Foil Crowd when I said to myself.." this guy could be the actual sniper sitting in front of Greta just lapping all this up ! "

He had the most sickening smile on his face when he was talking about such a tragedy, didn't he ? And at the end, maybe it was just me, but I felt Greta was very uncomfortable. At the very last question (don't remember what it was) but it was serious, and he had this sickening smile on his face...like SLY smile. It was nauseating to me.

I am sooo glad to read on here that other's thought the same thing. I put my Reynolds Wrap back in the drawer.

Okay, while I have been following this thread, I had the tv on a local channel and, turned to fox in time to hear the guy swearing it was a white guy. The reasons he gave, there's no polital thing involved, blah blah blah. All the former white guys that got pissed over money lost in the stock market, (the day trader guy who shot all those people and his family in Atlanta a couple years ago) all killed themselves or that McDermott guy in Boston, when he was done, sat and waited to be arrested. The "freaked out" white guys, either are caught or kill themselves after a one day shooting bonanza.

This has been going on too long for it to be a "snap" in one person's thinking of revenge.

As I have posted on other threads, I find it strange that a county sheriff is the point man in a case that clearly should be under Federal jurisdiction. That in and by itself makes me suspicious.

And Chief Moose may or may not be a great cop, I really don't know, but I am very sure that he is out of his league on this one, and I think it clearly shows.

Who knows how this will finally end up but the whole thing impresses me as being very strange and I am not one that is normally giving to conspiracies theories. Nevertheless, I just keep getting the impression that the authorities are hiding something.

Not to get everybody paronoid but, seems kind of funny first there are witnesses then there not.I am sure all the clues have not been let out to the press. Why the hell would you have a spy plane that has never been used in city type setting before being used now?

Yeah it would not suprize me this whole thing is bizzare, pure speculation on my part. Earlier this evening there was a thread on FR about a green beret saying this may be a test attack that will go nation wide when we attack Iraq.

If that happens the politicians will expect us to leave everything in their incapable hands and adjust to being targets. Given their past and current actions, or lack thereof, I have no faith that they will take one workable measure to stop it, and are unlikely to ever develop the will to stop it. Given what I see of D.C. those in politics had rather feed the aligator until it gets to them.

I didn't see the report, but it makes a little sense...

The witness (assuming for a moment) that he is legit,
• realizes Moose is trying to discredit him but, thankfully one or two TV stations will still listen and seem to believe him.
• realizes he lived thru a tense situation where it could have been him shot, and...
• realizes he might be 1st in line for taking home the $500,000 reward.

  I'd smile at that.

  I have to believe Moose or some of his investigators have their own eye on that money. It is starting to cloud their judgements.

  Moose also seems to be trying to swing a election.
