More like this please (school kids attack PETA goons!)

MORE LIKE THIS, PLEASE:

Sean Gifford of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and an unidentified man in a cow-suit had planned a peaceful protest at the gates of the Grammar School to let pupils know about the claimed hazards in milk.

But they had to be rescued by two female police officers when the teenage pupils launched a violent protest of their own.

About 100 children, shouting "milk for the masses" and carrying banners, surrounded Mr Gifford and his "cow" partner and drenched them both in milk for about ten minutes. The police eventually intervened and escorted the PETA members back to their car.

Also a certain brand of milk (they do not use any hormones), Jilbert's, from my hometown area (say yah to da UP eh?) tastes much better to me than the milk we drink around here! I wonder why. Been meaning to call the dairy when I'm home and ask them. My sister hates it, says it tastes like grass.

The feed can affect taste, of course. Dietary lipids, especially. My uncle had to be careful to keep the cows away from wild garlic in the spring.

I grew up with a doctor like that. Never knew until I moved away how rare they are and how lucky I was. He delivered me, sewed me up when I would cut myself, etc. He did learn to not tell me when to come back to get the stitches out. Just told me to take them out when they were ready. I miss him.

Intelligent response to SG's fear-mongering half truths. Thank you and I applaud you. You spoke the truth.

I'm sorry. I apologize profusely.

Your doctor sounds like quite a good one if your daughter was comfortable with him re such a potentially embarrassing examination at such a young age. And also for saving your life.

I also had a mystery illness when I was young. Of all the dozens of doctors I saw, NOT ONE could find out what was wrong with me. Maybe if I had had your doctor...

You and your family are truly lucky to have found such a good doctor. He sounds like one in a million.

But...do you think that post #35 ..that PleaseNoMore and her Doctor are also under leftist propoganda?? DO you think that all those other posts where people are only drinking organic milk are all misled?

Maybe. Depends on what "organic" means. Unpasteurized? Unless some other method of sterilization was used, that is far more dangerous than you might imagine. Unhomogenized? Whole? Not standard whole milk, where some of the cream has been taken out, but real whole milk in all its glory? Mmmmm. Or does it mean that they never fed the cows genetically modified feed, hormones, steroids or other cows (a topic not for the faintest of hearts) and that the cows got to wander around and didn't have a curfew?

Or is it just labeled organic so they can mark it up 500%? (Most of the so-called organic food industry is unregulated and is, in fact, a scam).

Cows are bigger alot sooner than they used to be..also chickens.

Which can also be attributed to improvements in nutrition, just like for people.

Yeah, it was a bad thing to have to throw away income because the dairy to which he sold bulk milk refused to buy garlicky (garlic-y?) milk. I've tasted it myself in milk in the spring.

Yep. But interestingly enough, that same wild garlic/onion is great when used on steak! Ha ha ha.

Once on an outdoor education prep session, our group was meeting at a campground outside of town in the spring. We were going to cook steaks. I and another student found wild garlic/onion (it's a bit of a cross between the two) and decided to use this on the steaks. Some of the girls (they said they wanted to be kindergarten teachers but what they really wanted was to be moms) said, "Oooh, don't put that on ours. It came from the ground." We asked them where they thought onions, carrots, garlic, and potatoes usually came from. They didn't have an answer. Their mental imagery had more sway than reality. They probably had not yet realized that meat was muscle. Sad to say that these poor chicks epitomize the majority of people going into teaching.
