Agree, the LEOs do seem helpless. Once I heard they didn't have a direction of travel, I knew this was bad......

I have a feeling what he most wants to do is get out of the jurisdiction fast. What's the fastest way out of Fairfax County from Seven Corners?

Michael's is a coincidence, IMO. There are so many Michaels around. It didn't happen AT the Michaels did it? Hate to have a company go out of business because everyone kept pushing some half-baked Michaels connection. BTW, this post is not directed at one person in particular. :)
Maybe the person reads FR and then decides where to shoot.

Sounds like something my kids say 'You're not the boss of me'. ROTFLMAO!!!

Yes but it would also make it hard to trace from out side the truck it would diffuse the sound sending it in many directions unless hes using a flash supressor or a silencer!

Leave it up to a veteran to come up with the pic....

Olive skinned man in the car. The LE will not release that information. WELL, WHERE'D THAT INFORMATION COME FROM? Can't tell us now (racial profiling you know).
Probably from media listening to a police scanner. There was a report of a pursuit on Rte 50 also via scanner.

I noticed the current police chief talking is 5000 times better than the idiot from Maryland. amen
and, believe it or not, cnn's coverage of this is putting fox to shame ...

FNC just showed a shot of the shopping center's marque. The Michael's is in the same center.
...which leads to an enteresting pair of questions: Why a certain craft supply store? And why gas stations? Near interstates I can understand. They make for easy escapes from the area. But why two specific types of businesses? (And one of those two being very specific!) The attacks at gas stations, I suppose, could simply have been due to their proximity to freeways. But that leaves the question: Why Michael's? Why does he keep coming back to one particular business?
...just providing a little fuel for some brainstorming.

Based on the comments by the reporters at the news conference, the local news crews seem to be listening to police scanners and have info not officially released...such as the description of the driver, that they were in pursuit...I imagine this is where the additional details are coming from.

You're right. It was the color that threw me off, maybe the lights.
Anyway, you can see by her elbow that she's white.

You could go on to Route 7, Route 50, I-66 & I-395, I'm sure there are other ways freepers more familiar with the area than me would know.
