CNN Headline News is reporting that a woman has been shot near a Home Depot in Falls Church, VA, and that authorities are investigating whether this is another sniper attack.

We have a Michaels and a Joanns both in our local mall; the coverage on MSNBC and CNN are both confused and moved back from the scene.

The local chief has just said that the shooting is being investigated with the sniper in mind but that it has not been determined that is so.

Wow, you make an interesting point. If this is related to AQ, they may have anticipated that a series of snipings would ultimately lead to snarled traffic due to roadblocks.
The resulting jams would leave a lot of people sitting ducks and inhibit police pursuit of attackers.

The only actual exit roads are at the Beltway interchanges, plus Idlewood & Heming. That's 15 roads to block, plus 3 bridges into DC. If he went eastbound on 50, he's inside the roadblock. It's a damn big area to search, but if he didn't make it outside the Beltway before the alarm went up, then he is still inside & must remain there. I heard on one of the news channels that this is the largest manhunt since Lincoln was assasinated. Send those guys shoulder to shoulder, block by block, & search everything bigger than a toybox.
