TV 9 on scene reported said it was at 9:15 PM. It took police 1/2 hour to close down Rt. 50. They were able to close down the Interstates 495, 66, 395, 95 much quicker.

So MSNBC says they are holding a van???

I have a suspicion they're confusing this van and the white box truck found abandonded earlier in DC (which turned out to have nothing to do with the shootings)..I believe I heard that box truck had a damaged rear bumper. According to a local radio news conference they don't have a van.

Glad to hear that you understand that if you took a train from Alexandria (first stop out of DC) it would take you 12 hours to get to the border of VA at Bristol (wsw).

All of NJ, most of New York, PA and southern New England is reachable in less travel time than that. There are many Colleges and Universities are within the State and I doubt that one should worry about any of their students.

I have no reason to believe that the presence of the craft stores at the scenes of several of these shootings have a thing to do with the sniper's motive.

Home-style crafts and scrapbooking is HUGE business in the rural US, in both the Southern and Mid-Western states.

If the sniper were operating in the Los Angeles area, we'd be noting the suspicious prevalence of Taco Bell restaraunts.

ok... let me get my tin foil hat out and just think aloud... Why would a terrorist use a giant cargo truck to commit these shootings? I ask myself this... The only thing I can think of... is that this guy or guys have been ordered to do this till they get caught... now they could of used any vehicle really... but why a giant combersom cargo truck? Well, what if you knew eventually you would get caught... Either you'll kill everyone on the planet with bullets one by one, or you'll get caught... so they know that eventually they will get caught. so why the cargo truck? (if it is a cargo truck?) well, If I were a terrorist, I'd load that sucker up with explosives ALA OK.City bombing... and when the cops know that they found me, I'd slow to a stop.... wait for cops to surround me with guns drawn (and while TV helicopters are above filming) Blow up the entire city block. End Game.
