Please help me find a the resume for Condalizza Rice.
Let me explain why.
One of my college instructors (an art instructor) got a tad carried away during a lecture, fell off topic and wound up talking about politics.
She managed to get on the topic of Iraq and how bad America is for wanting to attack and defeat Sadam.
This made me angry but what really sent me over the edge was when she called Ms. Rice, Bush's "lackey".
I was very angry, got up and walked out of class, informing my instructor on the way out that I would return when she stopped talking about politics and got back to the topic of art.
When I came back into the room, the instructor apologized in a very left handed way, asking me if I would like to discuss politics and President Gore at another time.
I would like to find the resume for Ms. Rice, toss it in her lap and ask her if that is her defintion of a "lackey". I understand that Ms. Rice is very accomplished and very well educated.
The points I would like to make to my instructor are;
discussing politics in some arenas is inappropriate
no matter what her personal views, she should show proper respect to people who deserve her respect, and I believe that Ms. Rice has earned that respect.
A link to that information would be fine or if you have something postable I would really like that too.
Thanks in advance.

...but just imagine the soul-searching the Democrats would have to do!Actually, they wouldn't...1: they have no souls...and 2: to the Democrats, anyone conservative & Republican has no race to them - they may as well be white.

I agree....we all know that Hillary will be a future candidate.....Imagine Condi Rice vs. Hillary....no contest...America wins when Condi wins!

AS a college student myself, I applaud your walking out of class. But I think on this one, your professor was right. Rice is an academician at best, not a national security advisor. She was a writer, but if you can actually find something she wrote, she was never alone, she always had help. Look at her areas of concentration prior to being appointed, she was an expert on Russia. She had no forward looking capabilities to see that Russia was not a threat and China and other areas needed to be "on the map". Tom Ridge was basically given her job, with a fancier title, to be the "pair" that she isn't. How are Homeland Security and National Security different?

She's an outstanding individual. She's fluent in Russian, German, French, Spanish, and I believe, Italian.
She forces herself to excel at anything she does.
Pick up a copy of this week's New Yorker. The article makes the connection between her closeness to the Bush family and her rise to power. She also is painted as somewhat more ambitious than other writers have done. The author, Nicholas Leman, believes that there is a quiet contest going on between Cheney and Rice for the 2004 vp slot.
Indeed, when asked if she'd like to be Vice President in 2004, Rice responded, "We already have a Vice President".
Talk about a non-answer answer.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

YOU GO!!!!!!!!!! I think you handled that very well. I don't blame you a bit. Keep records of all your grades and the date this incident happened.
Please don't forget to inform us of the outcome when you give her/him the resume, otherwise showing the subject how much more intelligent and classier this woman is.

That's one of the things Bush loves about her. On top of her other brilliant skills, she's a world-class "tap dancer." The master of the unresponsive response, she can drive an interviewer nuts.

Tom Ridge was basically given her job, with a fancier title, to be the "pair" that she isn't. How are Homeland Security and National Security different? You're kidding, right? Condi Rice speaks privately with the President every day. Tom Ridge occasionally gets a form letter from the Oval Office addressed to "Occupant."

She is also an evangelical Christian who speaks openly of her faith in Jesus Christ. But maybe you shouldn't tell your teacher that, I doubt that it would do anything to improve her opinion of the lady.

Tom Ridge occasionally gets a form letter from the Oval Office addressed to "Occupant."You're right. And he's still trying to figure out who that "occupant" guy is whose mail he's getting. Ridge is the guy the term "empty suit" was coined for.
