Hey, lawgirl.........do you remember the picture of W as a candidate and Laura in a hotel room, and he's fastening the clasp on her necklace?
She has a blue dress on, I think.
I was looking for it the other day, but nobody had it.
I've also been looking for that yummy one where he's lying on a bed in a hotel room.......not the one with the girls (Barbara and her friends), but the one by himself in a shirt and tie?
Can you help me, friend? Huh? HUH??! :o)

OH YESSS!!!!! Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!!
I was just wondering, when I looked at the gorgeous necklace that Laura was wearing.......was that just last night?......whether he still did things like put her necklaces on for her?
I'll bet he does! And I'll bet he still has the same cute look of concentration on his face trying to get that clasp attached.
Those things can be a pain! LOL!
To: lawgirl
I think he wears it knowing we're looking for it-- a way to say "I can't wear the one you actually sent me so I'll wear this one instead". LOL! Wouldn't that be something! < sigh! >

You sent the president a mauve tie? What a whimsical idea. Bet it got his attention.
To: reDublican
Well to tell you the truth-I was never quite sure what color it was. But for sure it had a very classic design upon a very richly colored mauve, light lavender, muted purple
whatever lol, background.
Many contributed to Lawgirl's idea-she ordered and sent the tie along with notes from each of us tucked inside.
So far...I guess the staff won't let our President wear it.... hehe...but I love Lawgirl's idea, fantasy or not, that he attempts to make it appear he is. :^)

A whole bunch of us did, and we each wrote a letter, and lawgirl organized the whole thing.
She picked out (with our approval) and bought the tie, and sent it with a wonderful letter to the President! Who else was in on that, lawgirl? Man, that seems like it was a lifetime ago.....back when we were all so much more innocent..........
We're not sure if he ever got it, though, but we can dream, can't we ladies??

BTW, here are some photos that Yahoo put up today (10/12)
From last night...

It definitely sounds like something that would've gotten noticed. I'm sure he was told about it, at the least. I can't think of a reason he wouldn't wear it. And I say, hey, if it looks like your tie, then it is your tie. So there.

OH how cute! Look at how that little girl is holding Laura's hand!

Where is the president today?

Hey, lawgirl......this pictures a little closer.....can you tell if it's our tie in this one?
To: reDublican; ohioWfan; lawgirl
Hi! Pokey78 sent me this site, which I KNOW you will want to visit:
George W. Bush Store
I believe this is ok'd by the administration.
To: reDublican
I don't know. There aren't any new pictures of him today on netscape......just
lots of pictures of Laura and Ludmila.
I know he's going to be traveling a lot over the next 2 weeks campaigning, but I don't know if he's gone anywhere yet.
Maybe he's just hanging out at the White House watching football and eating manly pretzels! :o)

Not to smash the fun mood this evening, but this photo makes me very uncomfortable. It is of the First Lady and Mrs. Putin touring the National Book Festival on the capitol grounds today.
I don't think either of those two ladies should be so exposed when we know for a fact that at least one very sick, evil, and audacious gunman is on the loose around here. I can understand wanting to set a good example of going on with our lives and all that, but this is just too scary to me.
Maybe I'm just a scaredy cat.

Manly pretzels?
Did you see the episode of The Tonight Show when Laura appeared and brought one of those infamous pretzels with her? She said something like, "That's no sissy pretzel."
LOL!
To: Miss Marple
Oh, Miss Marple, it's too late for me to be exploring that website! I've got to get to bed!
What fun!! I'll be shopping there soon! Thanks for the link!
To: reDublican
Secret Service would not allow this (not to mention the Russian security for Mrs. Putin) unless the perimeter was secured. It looks like they are in the open, but I guarantee you that the buildings like the Capitol had been swept, and I will bet that there were snipers (our guys) on the roof watching everything.
To: reDublican
Yes, I did. And that's when she said not to worry, because he was now practicing 'safe snacks.'
I practically fell on the floor when she said that! Yeah, Laura!!
