Joined by First Lady Laura, President Bush highlighted the on-going efforts in Afghanistan today in an event at the David Eisenhower Executive Office Building. Bush spoke about the humanitarian relief, which is continuing in Afghanistan. This evening, the First Couple is attending the second annual National Book Festival Gala performance at the Library of Congress. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

In All seriousness......... The Nobel Peace prize lost whatever credibility it had when Yassir Arafat was given it. Here is a man that had been nothing but a terrorist all his life and all of sudden the people who are responsible for nominating and deciding who gets the Nobel Peace Prize announces that Yassir Arafat just because he was willing to sit down and sign a document he had no intent of honoring.

Yes I agree, George W. Bush is not a candidate for such an award. He is a leader who doesn't need some no-count bunch of socialist liberals including him in their leftist circle jerk.

My bet is that George W. Bush probably snickered at the news of Jeema Catta being honored by a bunch of socialist liberals who couldn't & wouldn't defend themselves from the least of threats. Jeema Catta is in good company

You mean since the show that basically laid out a case for invading Iraq? Yeah, I went over and checked out the website. I watched the "After the Show" feature. You could tell the audience was fairly convinced of what we have to do.

But of course, there was the ever-present "I don't like Bush even though I agree with him and he's doing the right thing" disclaimer that every liberal feels they have to slip into any public event. Oprah didn't do it. It was one of the guys that she had as a guest. I think he may have been part of the x42 administration. I'm not sure. Anyway, he was making the case for going to war when he quoted some other stupid liberal columnist's cheap line, "Saddam Hussein is a huge threat...even though George Bush says he is." (meaning if Bush says something, it's usually not true, I guess)

The audience laughed their self-satisfied laughs, and I just though...what a bunch of righteous snobs. They're evidently above saying, "You know what? The president is right and we were wrong."

How sophisticated of them.

Is it a quick read? Yes, I think so. It is 383 pages--double spaced. I would LOVE to just sit down and read it straight through. I crave the details and it gives a lot of other information on what was going on 9/11 in other quarters...
