I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.
No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.
Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

If so, the police response was faster than I could imagine... unless it was a robbery, i.e. silent alarm etc...
But, here's hoping they've got the bastard(s) responsible in any event...

Catching those responsible were certainly make attending the Redskin's game more palatable.

I prefer to call them "stalls" not cubes.
In my workplace - it's much more fitting.
I just wish they would give us fresh straw once in a while.

Anxiously awaiting further updates. I pray to God this/they are the perps and they catch him/them.

Fredericks burg, Va. Witnesses report possibly an Astro van leaving scene, according to MSNBC. This is very preliminary reports.

PJ, even if it cannot be definitively said at this point that the shooter or shooters are what we would characterize as "terrorists", the for-all-intents-and-purposes greater fallout of this is that it is starting to effect the mindset, economics and stability of the National Capital Region. Therefore we must unfortunately begin to refer to this as "terrorism" because in a defacto sense it is. Further it is more than "Maryland" shootings at this point, it is "US CAPITAL AREA-SHOOTINGS". This is clear.
To: PJ-Comix
Anybody else have any ideas on whether these shootings could be terrorist-related? You must have missed the long threads (600-700 messages and even higher) from the past several days. There was lots of speculation, theorizing, map analysis, and the like. If someone has the list of threads, maybe they can repost it here.

My ex and daughter live in Calvert Co. MD. She told me she has seen more cops on rte.4 since this has started than she had when she first moved there. They are sitting at 4 and Suitland Pkwy, and on the bridge over the Patuxent on 4 at Waysons Corner ever since the shootings began. Just sitting there waiting for something to break. I dont know if other major intersections are equally covered, but they should be.
