I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.
No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.
Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

He could have a foldable rifle too. Shoot, fold, stick inside jacket and go for a walk.

Do you have that additive that california has in the gas? What, the methyl tert-butyl ether that the environmentalists swore up and down was absolutely necessary to add to gas, "or-we're-all-gonna-die"?

Here is an old Air cav badge.... I read that some had rifles crossed, a shield and a lightning bolt.

It just becomes a slow-speed chase (sorry).

Thanks, I found the Meade "Capture Vuew" binocs site -- looks like a third a separate lens for the camera ... is that right? How well do they work at night? Can you photograph a license plate at 30+ feet or so?

I'm sick of myself now for not telling my wife to get off and go back down the service road but I was one sick puppy that day and even if I'd gotten ahold of a lawman he'd have probably thought I was a nutcase because of the condition I was in.
Dang,I'm agravated with myself.Don't get to a big town often so we had stopped at the ammo shop on the way into Plano before the sawbones got me.We sure weren't lacking in that department, only problem was my thought processes at the time. :o(
I just remembered, the guys had no apparent vehicle anywhere in my sight so they had to have walked at least a little ways or been dropped off.

Here in California, the Union 76 stations proudly advertise that their gas has no MTBE. Of course, it still has ethanol in it, and I'm not sure which is worse.

I haven't read this all yet, but another man has been shot at a gas station in Massofonax, VA. FOX news anchor was talking about yet another serial killing.
If anyone has seen or knows anything, the hot line number is (888) 324-9800.

Hey again, Kim. Finally got to your post saying you were back! What do you think about this? I know the police are smart:), no really, I belive most are. I could pass some of this stuff here (like waiting for white vans to show up etc.)on to her without going through the tipline and see what she can pass on. She may not be working the tipline tomorrow.
She called this morning crying because she had just reached her son. Said they were all OK. She and I were just discusssing all this last night.

MSNBC showing police? shooters with black hoods (balaclavas) on. It's not very cold today. What's that about. It looks scary, and makes it difficult for people to identify the police officers later on, either for Internal Affairs or for personal vengenace.
I'm way late on all of this. Sorry.
To: spunkets
I hope but I should have gone back and talked to 'em at least.

Sounds like you live in MD. We're asking everyone who lives in metro area or has family in area to go to our prayer thread and sign on so we can pray for you.

Oh. That's not good, then. Channel 2's frequency is 54-60 MHz, and antenna size is directly proportional to frequency. For Channel 2, we're talking of an antenna three meters across... Crud. How did I know it would not be good? :- )
(Not that I have the least idea of how far 3 meters are)
All the other channels are about 59 miles away (6, 9, 18, 21, 24, 35, 56, 65).

Yes, they work very well on AA batteries and have a USB cable to download and save on a PC or Laptop. 8X power and a high and low resolution mode (less pics on high mode of course). I enjoy mine . No problems yet. Radio Shack has em on the shelf if you want to look and fondle in person.......100 bucks out the door as I paid it.
Stay Safe

Regarding the supposed shootings at schools in Prince George's county: WTOP reports that police officials confirm that nothing of the sort is happening near the schools. No evidence of shots fired.
