NEWSFLASH: Another shooting, approx. 9 AM, this time near Fredericksburg

I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.

No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.

Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

I thought it interesting that the police have a description of the suspects but are not releasing any details on that.

What good does it do to have a description and not release to the public? I would think that giving descriptions on TV would be one of the best ways to catch them.

Let me propose that the single shooter is in a regular sedan and waits till he see's a white van or white box truck in the area, and then he takes a shot.

This is excuse my FRENCH.....one ballsy shooter.......he killed this guy under a cops nose...

If this is the case, and it seems to be, we are probably not too long away from the sniper shooting someone that is being filmed on one of the news networks. He'll use a decoy or something to get the news and cops there, and he will shoot at someone talking to a camera. Ih there are more than one involved, this may not be too hard.

This guy had to see that Trooper across the street when he was sighting the victim......and took the shot anyway..

Took the shot because, IMHO.

This would be the phase where the guy begins to take more chances in order to keep things exciting. If he's not caught this time, they'll probably get him next time.
