NEWSFLASH: Another shooting, approx. 9 AM, this time near Fredericksburg

I work in a newsroom in Fredericksburg, and they heard on the police scanner that a person has been shot at a gas station at "Four Mile Fork" which is a neighborhood just south of the City of Fredericksburg.

No details yet, but I wanted to let y'all know -- and keep up the tradition of FReepers getting news first.

Pray for the victim, and pray that this is a random shooting, and that this monster's terror has not widened yet again.

It might be worth it if the police are using cars...also a cemetery has built in cover...and IF the guy thinks he is G-d...what a great place for him to feel "invincible"???

Probably because most 18-22 year-olds are too hopped up on caffeine or sugar (or drugs) to stand still enough to be shot. I'm only half-joking.

I strongly believe that you don't search for someone like this.

You hide from him. You hide with him. You move through the trees and the darkness with him, and stalk the same prey he stalks, until you can practically smell him in the air.

It will only be a matter of time before he finds you, waiting for him in one his hiding places. He'll step on you without even knowing that you're there -- and when the police respond to the report of a single shot fired they will only find another victim.

But this victim will have an AR-15 lying on the ground next to him. And when days and weeks pass without any more sniper attacks, the nation will speak in awe of the silent protector who vanished like a whisper.

Just across the parking lot at a Sheetz gas station, Jerry Hughes continually shuffled around his car. HELL that's a cuss word here in Texas!

Good info....I'd suspect that if they don't "shoot" the killer then s/he'll die from EMR induced cancer from all the deployed electronics and radio traffic.......:o)
