Duncan is my congressman also. Before I get flamed, I am a Republican, although I am struggling to vote for RINO Lamar Alexander.

I agree with Duncan's statement. If we should be threatening war with anyone, it should be Saudia Arabia. We're going to lose a bunch of young men trying to get Saddam. I say let him rot. He may be crazy, but not crazy enough to attack the United States. If he does, then I'm all for it.

The Bush family war is popular here and I will apologize to anyone who will go themselves, or send their sons/daughters or grandchildren to do the front line thing..unlike the Gore-type wartime experience. The only one that didn't surprise me was Ron Paul. He's made his opposition very clear - I caught him on Sean Hannity's show yesterday (Wed.) with his view (I think it was faulty; Sean appeared to think so as well). The others? Did any of them say...anything to support their position?

If not, then that removes any respect I had for them. I can respect Paul; I think he's wrong, but he does vote consistantly with his convictions. I'm not so sure about the other five.

Since you obviously didn't read the numerous replies already posted on this topic, allow me to summarize:
It is not the government's money, it is the taxpayers' money.
Electing a head-in-the-clowds representative who is more concerned with dressing up in powdered wigs and pretending to be George Washington than fighting for his constituents allows their hard-earned tax money to go to other districts to build bike paths for Tom Daschel and his friends, instead of paving roads in the 14th District.
