A sniper terrorist is killing us. Think what Israel has to endure. So far, no bombs.

Your post 770 should be read at press conferences, printed on leaflets, and put up on billboards all over Montgomery County MD!
Best post on this thread IMHO!

The politicans will not be able to resist the citizen's call for increased police presence. I don't think I've heard any politicos speaking about this current homeland problem. Maybe they'll vote now on equipping the Homeland Security Department. Current departments are not equipped to counteract the new type of stealth and murder.

If I were in the area, I'd send my family off on a trip.
Considering the population of the DC Metro Area, this guy could kill one person every other day for the next year, and you'd STILL have far greater chance of being killed in a routine traffic accident.

Gotta' love Heinlein. How many copies of Starship Troopers were in country when you were there?

An older pickup, something that looks common, with a shell and no top window over the tailgate would work well for the shooter if he has a driver.
A shooter sitting close to the cab in daylight would be hard to see because of the dark interior but he would have a pretty open area to take his shots from.
Another "clean" vehicle like the white (a good color to draw attention) van or truck could be positioned to "quickly" leave the area upon hearing a shot to draw attention away from the shooters vehicle that could move out slowly so as not to draw attention.
Of course, this is possible only if a number of people are working closely together for a common cause and is just one more possibility. There's more than 20 ways to skin a cat.

I think that barring a mistake, we will have to wait for a relative to break this case, like Kosinski.
I think a video camera will get him sooner or later. There are so many out there these days that its unlikely he can avoid them forever.

Everybody with 2 brain cells knows that 2 Arab Muslims in a white truck are the snipers.
What I want to know is why you are shilling for the government coverup? HMMMM???
(Just thought I'd be the first to say that and beat the rush.)

the brother of the landscaper, Buchanan, has been on the morning network shows and was just on CBS all night news, the funeral (parts of speeches from friends and relatives and a witness) for the taxi driver was on local news

A sniper terrorist is killing us. Think what Israel has to endure. So far, no bombs.Well, I must say that after watching two of this countrys biggest building collapse killing 3000 people, caused by our own giant jet aircraft slamming into them and the Pentagon, I think we got Israel beat as far as who has suffered biggest terrorist attack. Not to mention the economic fallout....

"I think he has traveled to countless places over the last week and wound up NOT shooting anyone...because the conditions were not just right. ""He" isn't making many of these decisions -- his driver/teamate is. That's why it's worked out so good for them so far.
If it was the 'lone nutjob', doing the driving, lookout, and shooting (no small feat) -- 'Nutjob' would already be in custody.
Law enforcment needs a 'lucky break' right about now to keep this thing from inspiring other 'al quaida' types, and various copycats, from joining in. I hope they get it -- and soon.
Does anybody know how the terrorist cell was apprehended in Oregon? They were out blasting away at the local gravel pit . . .

Both of Maryland's Senators were on TV this morning explaining how they were responsible for the Federal Government's assistance to the local and state police in this matter.

Praytell, is that the same as actually driving on the highway versus going about your business elsewhere? I find your argument null and void. LOL

Very good point. The sniper may have already been "captured" on multiple videotapes (ATMs, 7-11s, etc) and the police are just collating and crunching the frames until they have the eureka moment, then go pick the sniper up at his job or house.

Early in this thread someone posted a link to a story in World Watch about this type of tactic being deployed by some of those trained to pick us off one at a time (you should see the golf course scenario).....it would seem that a white truck... or Dodge Caravan as ABC now reports, is a great cover..... these creeps could blend in and on the scene of just about any incident....
It appears to be a terrorist because it has all the earmarks of inducing terror.

If you believe what I wrote is true, then spread it.
There is nothing worse for people than to feel like nothing they can do will make a difference. They CAN make a difference and everyone needs to fight back.

And after that, what? We are looking at the next phase, methinks.
To: Conservababe
I keep agreeing with you!

Could be, but I think something a little more spectacular is coming.... Just my opinion.
