I am a registered poster there. I'm a Democrat. They are planning a huge email campaign against Oprah just because of her show today. Not to mention they're piling on this board with multiple ID's per person (I got the email...thanks very much, DU). They turned on her just like that! They're pretty nasty in their comments about her personally. I'm so embarrassed. I probably won't go back to that site for a long time....if ever.

Despite my differences with Rosie O'Donnell, she also has spoken out against Clinton. I think Oprah has too. Better late then never.

I heard what she said too,..and it implied that things hadn't gotten better, just that we turned our heads away. Oprah just went up WAY high in my opinion of her. Good on her!!

I'm going to listen to the tape tomorrow with my husband. (I taped it because of reports I had heard here on FR about it)

I just hope people go sign up for her/Oprah's website, and support her. I heard there was quite a bit of dissent on there today. We need to counter them. Otherwise, celebs like Oprah will back off. It is imperative that some one from the media stand up for this President. She made me very proud today...

I haven't watched Oprah in years, so I don't know if she presents other subjects with the same evenhanded fairness. I was very impressed. She did not challenge the findings of the author, she asked only probing, informational questions. It looked and sounded as if common sense was convincing Oprah...and most of her audience...that President Bush was doing the right thing by concentrating on the need to act as soon as possible in ridding the world of Saddam.

Yes, how great that Condi has been able to show Oprah how and why the other side thinks as it does. This could be a great boost for republicans. It is so hard to get our message out through the media.

I watch local news right after oprah..and had changed the channel about 10 mins before news started. After seeing what the topic was I was very sorry to see that I missed her show. (I rarely watch it anyway) Thanks for posting this...Am glad to hear it was a positive one.

I saw her program yesterday by accident, and I was blown away! She did more for getting the point about Saddam across than anyone I've seen besides President Bush.

The conversation with the Iraqi man who had been a prisoner of Saddam's for 47 days was a clincher.
