WUSA-TV 9 News in Washington, D.C. reported in its 11 p.m. broadcast that police found a tarot card and a note to police at the scene of yesterday's sniper shooting of a 13 year old boy at Tasker Middle School in Bowie, Md.
The tarot card was the 'Death' card. The message said, 'Dear policemen, I am God."

But what about the matching shell casing?
To: Route66
Looks like a whack job, alright. Another sprig from the tree of evil that grows on this Earth. Praying that the authorities find it and rip it up.

I found this version of the card & commentary in a google search:
This card represents transformation and rebirth of the consciousness into higher planes. The death skeleton comes to all as shown in the picture, child father, mother, king and priest. Death has no care for station in this material plane and all suffer the same fate in the end. Numerologically, this card is a 13/4. There were 12 disciples and christ was the 13th. The white horse that is well tamed, symbolic of pure desires and the submisiveness to the cycles of life.

Thanks. I hope his dog isn't talking to him :-( My guess: At night, his dog probably pisses on him.

OK, that about rules out the terrorist angle. It is purely a nutball wackjob. If this is true I agree.

"But what about the matching shell casing? "
Have they determined that it matches another one left at the scene of a previous shooting? Or is it just the same type..

It's possible the nutcase personally knew and wanted to kill one of the victims for some reason. The killing of the others, and the tarot card, may be camouflage. Pretty extreme, don't you think? Wants to kill one but kills five for cover. I don't think so. There's more going on, IMO.

THANKS for posting all the other threads to this case..:-)

re post#17: I agree that it's either a hoax and/or a copy cat shooter.

Didn't Tarot cards originate in Islam?
"Yet alongside this orthodoxy, traditions of the animism and mysticism remain. Some Muslims still wear talismans, cast spells, consult Tarot cards, and placate jinns (genies)."

Well, let's hope he dosen't start acting out the picture in the Rider deck for the three of swords. That would really be a mess. I doubt this guy knows much about Tarot because the Death card rarely deals with physical death. I think he is just going by the pictures. If he wanted to symbolize physical death he would have left a combination of cards using both the Major and Minor Arcana. Certain cards must show up in combination to predict death in a reading.

Ok now I don't know. I thought it was a direct link because it was an exact match. My apologies..
To: Cindy
Now of course, if the forensic evidence comes back that the casing appears to come from the same gun as the other shootings; I retract my last statement.

The eight of swords deals with being psychologically or emotionally bound to a situation. You might be thinking of the ten of swords which in the Rider deck shows a guy with ten swords stuck in his back. That doesn't predict death either but you sure wish you were :)

Hmmmm? I don't think that rules out the terrorists.
Remember, they believe their "god" is directing them to do these things - so, the mention of God - to me it says this could absolutely be terrorists.
At least, I wouldn't want to rule it out yet.
