Report: Sniper Left Tarot Card, Message for Police at Last Shooting

WUSA-TV 9 News in Washington, D.C. reported in its 11 p.m. broadcast that police found a tarot card and a note to police at the scene of yesterday's sniper shooting of a 13 year old boy at Tasker Middle School in Bowie, Md.

The tarot card was the 'Death' card. The message said, 'Dear policemen, I am God."

Leaving the Death Card XIII (13th Card of the Major Arcana) and a casing behind definitely sounds like a copy cat...a sloppy one, at that.

Unless, other cards were dropped at the scenes but not yet found... There are 22 Major Arcana Cards of a Tarot deck, and I had a chilling thought along the lines of the Zodiac killer that if the cards are involved, the number murdered could go to 22.

The significance of this card is primarily in the numerology, not so much the symbolism...it was a 13 year old boy, yet the age itself bears a small death of childhood into manhood...transition that can be painful. Researching the individual situations/gender/location of each victim could possibly be tied to Major Arcana cards especially if he failed at one Michael's store and drove to another to get it "right." There's a purpose of a certain fulfillment.

I agree. It's got to drive that POS nuts that he hasn't accomplish his sick mission when targeting Michaels sites. That he tried again to kill at a different Michaels store says A LOT about his demented psychological profile. This Wacko might try again to kill at a Michaels store just to close a perverted circle.

BTW, there is more than a hint of perfectionism in this killer…it could very well lead to his capture as I’m sure it is not being lost on the investigators of this case.

As I hear the latest news about the sniper, I can't help but think about how this sounds like a sinister dark plot from "Hollywood".

I'm disturbed by the continuous flow of evil and darkness being digested by our fellow citizens and produced by "Hollywood," and I wonder about the aggregate effect of this continuous bombardment.

"Hollywood" is the primary polluter of our social enironment. Who are these people who imagine and give live to these darkest of images.

Why aren't WE condemning Hollywood for projecting our image around the world, in the most vile and contemptable fashion.
Isn't it a fact that most foreign citizens learn about America from "Hollywood"?

The dramatic use of a tarot card idicates we are dealing with a psychotic personality who has fed on "outside" stimulation to develope his appetite for killing, in such a dramatic fashion.

Guess we'll just have to wait to see if they release more information on the shell casing.

Since this information was not released at one of the regular briefings and the national media does not have it yet, I assume this was one of those details that the police were trying to withhold. Someone at WUSA news must have a good contact.

So if this guy were intent on killing one person, and was just using the others as cover, it would not be without precedent.

I don't buy this angle because the first target was trying to shoot someone through a window of a Michael's store. Then the rampage began. I don't think the subsequent time lines works well for this theory. This Sicko just likes to kill.

It's absolutely hilarious that I think I'm about the only person on FR that thinks the "Allah is Great, Take Penacilin etc." letters in the Anthrax cases are completely diversionary BS, but it seems most of the posters on this thread think the Tarot card is diversionary BS from an Islamic terrorist.

I GUARANTEE that if you kept every fact in this story the same, but replaced the Tarot Card with an "Allah is Great" letter, everyone would accept absolutely that it was a real note from a real Islamic terrorist and anyone suggesting otherwise would be flamed.
