President Bush headed to Knoxville, Tennessee to speak to workers at Alcoa regarding the war on terror, and once again called on Congress to pass the Homeland Security and terrorism insurance bills. Before heading to Alcoa, Bush spoke in favor of Republican gubernatorial candidate Van Hilleary at the Cherokee Aviation Hanger. Bush also asked Attorney General Ashcroft to seek an injunction under the Taft-Hartley Act, ending the lockout and requiring work at the ports to resume at a normal pace. The injunction is done as a cooling off period for both parties involved. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Gretchen it sounds like heaven, especially the salt water and dog.

This past week certainly has been trying. I agree. As OhioWfan said, we need to pray for our President and for the Republicans running for office. The clintons and terry mcauliffe are running the RAT party...that means that anything can happen. The have the courts so stacked with clinton appointees that just about any kind of corruption can get through. We need another December 2000 miracle.
To: GretchenEE
Did you see what Terry McAuliffe said? He said he is going to have thousands of lawyers posted on election day and also will have an 800 number for RAT voters to call if they have "problems" voting or if they are intimidated. Time for the Justice Department to step in and put a stop to this garbage.I think both sides are going to do this. Here in MD, the Dems typically get the majority they need by having a huge turnout from the cemeteries in Baltimore. I have been assured that the Erlich campaign will have lawyers at the polling places in Balt. Ehrlich can win over Kathleen Kennedy Townsend if these dead people are "denied" their voting rights.
There are also places where the Dems had >100% turnout in 2000. I think some of these places where there are close races are also going to have GOP leaning lawyers at the polls.

Thanks for the link on Phyllis Schlafly's article. I was hoping someone else would post it. One of her best efforts.
Mntngrl I can never remember how to spell your screen name but many thanks for the Psalms.

The euros don't realize the cowboy idea is a compliment, the kind of man we need right now for all that we are going through.
I guess they think we need an effeminate wine sipper who knows how to throw a party. Like that would keep us safe.

She's been around for a
loong time.
I can remember when I was active in N.O.W., marching for the ERA -- Phyllis and Jesse Helms were two of those we hated the most.
A long long time ago.

I wear two pins. One is flag shaped and on the lanyard that supports my security name tag, the other is heart shaped with a flag motif [stripes, blue field with stars]. It isn't exactly a flag, but implies that I love my country.

Rintense, I come everyday to view your wonderful pictures of our President, sometimes I comment, sometime I thankyou, more often I just look and am thankful that this man is our President and that you are committed enough to do this service every day.
I am convinced, now and in the past, that Saddam is a clear and present and iminent danger to all.I understand that the Senate will vote the resolution into being because they are fearful that if they don't they will not retain control of the Senate. If the vote were to be taken after the Nov. elections the nays would be much greater. The country is solidly behind our President.
The fact that Arafat tried to assinate Colin Powel which seems to be a media secret, indicates just how far this war
on terror has gone. I cannot understand why the Senate separates the war on terror from the need to remove another madman like Saddam from power. It is part and parcel of the same package. Saddam is a terrorist who finances, trains and shelters terrorists. He is a terrorist who would
kill us all in a nanosecond if he thought he could do it and not have the instantanious retribution that would follow.
The dispicable Senator Byrd and Teddy would be willing to go to war later, after the elections, or rather wait for some bio death, if it came before a mushroom cloud over W. VA. or D.C. pandering to the rent a mob peaceniks who's parents inhabit the congress, Old 60's "give peace a chance" hippies.
The Bagdad traitors are out enforce with thier Emperialism junk and the hard core dems are in true form. I am sick to death of the %^&$*&% traitorous, seditous Clintons too.
The more I listen to the Anti American, Anti Israel, Pro Sadam, PLO traitorous Americans the angrier I get. Rant over. I feel better.

Thank You!! I'm SO late here tonight...hubby made a special dinner, bought me flowers, and a gift cert. for half day at a spa. I decided that gawking at FR for a couple of hours was NOT the way to repay his kindness. I appreciate your thinking of me!

Thanks! I was "unavoidably detained" this evening! Thanks again for your posts....they are a real pick-me-up in the evenings!
To: kitkat
Thanks, Kitkat! I don't post often on this thread, but I feel as though I "know" everyone on it...since I read each and every reply every night.

Doesn't our Dubyah look Jeffersonian in silouette? Just picture adding a little pony tail ... he is SO classic in profile .... (sigh). Please keep praying for our Lord to keep this mighty load on his soul and shoulders from straining him to torment. I don't know how he gets through all he gets through in a day without our Lord's merciful embrace. And keep our brave military in your heart and prayers. They're fighting and dying for our safety and freedom this very moment. God Bless Them All and all of us.
Thanks for all your special devotion, rin.

Springers can be far more aloof than Scotties. Scotties tie themselves to one person and are mainly a one person dog. Springers can share themselves with several people without showing much favortism.
