Democrats Plan Extensive Voter Monitoring

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic Party leaders said Tuesday they will launch an extensive effort to promote and monitor voters' rights on Election Day and will put "thousands" of lawyers in place to respond to voters' complaints.

After the difficulties in Florida in the 2000 election and during the Sept. 10 primary, Democrats said they will pay special attention to the Sunshine State.

"We are not going to stand on the sidelines while a third Florida election is bungled," said Democratic Party Chairman Terry McAuliffe, who exhibited a new toll-free call line that will allow voters to register problems and have their calls logged with local election officials and party workers.

After the bitter Florida recount battle in the 2000 presidential election, the state spent more than $30 million installing electronic voting and replacing punch-card systems.

But it still experienced widespread problems in September with new voting machines and voters who were turned away from late opening or early closing polling stations.

McAuliffe said the party will have monitors at problem polling sites. He said "thousands" of lawyers would be on notice to respond to complaints so "no one is intimidated into foregoing their rights."

"The only violence done on voters in Florida is the sloppiness of Democratic voting officials in Democratic districts...as well as Democratic voters with too
much age-related violence in their neurons to allow them to understand how to follow and complete the instructions on a touch-screen voting device."

Dang! All they had to do was plug the machine in! How hard could that be?... never mind--Don't answer; it was a Democrat wasn't it..

I volunteered today with the Florida Republican Party to help with this years election. I will do whatever I can to assure the Democrats do nothing to steal the vote.

Well, you know how this translates don't you? It means that they are going to set it up to make it look like people are being "disenfrancised." It will actually be staged and the net result will be more fraudulent votes for Rats. I am sick to death of these evil people!

"God help us, these people are overthrowing our form of government before our very eyes."

Profound statement and, I'm afraid, true.

Prayer is a very good idea because we know they will do anything to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Yes, indeed, LA Republicans tried to guard the ballot box in 1986, and they were soundly repudiated. The winner that year: the sanctimonious John Breaux, who rarely has had opposition henceforth.

Get a post office box. Democrats do it so they can claim residence in a number of states. What do you think those busses are for? Check out their licence plates. They'll be from all over the country.

LOL! Are they going to monitor their own voter fraud, too?

Will McAuliffe be placing the same lawyers who attempted to deny the military votes from being counted?

No one told Mr. McAuliffe that the Florida voters don't blame Jeb Bush for the election problems on primary day. They blame their irresponsible local election personnel and the careless voters.

The party rots from the head down. The DNC head is definitely rotten.

McAuliffe is Bill McBride's (Jeb Bush's opponent for Fla. Gov.) buddy. Reuters leaves out all the important facts.

In Arkansas they selectively screen out Republican poll watchers even thought the law requires them.

I assume that these are the same lawyers who were recruited in Nov. 2000 to go to Florida to "throw out military absentee ballots". They give new meaning to the word SCUM.
