I just posted and have asked moderator to remove my thread. CNN reports the child is 13 and the mother was with the child at the time. No news whether related to sniper killings in MD.

Looks like the mother took the child to a small clinic or very small hospital - that didn't have a trauma center. He's since been med-evac'd.
By the way, Prince Georges county is drastically different from Montgomery county. Shootings in PG county are not rare - at all. Lots of gang-bangers.

Here is some info on Tasker Middle School
Benjamin Tasker Middle School is the only middle school located within Bowie, a municipality of approximately 50,000, in central Maryland. It is a very important part of the Prince George's County Public School System, which serves over 261,582 students (1999), making it the largest school system in the state and the 17th largest in the United States.
