LOS ANGELES GRAY DAVIS/HILLARY CLINTON FREEP REPORT
Free Republic | October 5, 2002 | Your darling Auntie Mame

Posted on 10/05/2002 9:59:34 PM PDT by Auntie Mame

Well, we freeped 'em, we freeped 'em good.

Gray Davis along with Hillary Clinton and Terry McAuliff came to the Century City Hotel. Why, I'm not certain. The Century City Hotel is located in the heart of, you guessed it, Century City. The area is comprised of modern tall buildings, clean and pristine, and on a weekend, empty streets.

We arrived at about 4:00 p.m. A few minutes later protesters started arriving and we soon amassed about 30-40 people. AnnaZ was there, Badjoe, dalereed, hangfire, TonyinHawaii, and a whole bunch more people

One of the nicest things about this freep were all the non-FreeRepublic people who "spontaneously" showed up. There were some darling girls from UCLA who had the wristbands to be able to get into the function. Apparently in an effort to attract enough people to the event, UCLA students were invited. After standing outside and freeping with us for a while, these absolutely darling girls folded up their signs and tucked them under their shirts and into their pants and decided to battle the devil on its own turf. We didn't see them again. I hope they came out unscathed. They promised to throw in some boos for me during quiet moments.

The democrats did their usual and large busses were seen unloading their groups. I strolled by the hotel to get a better look and, you know what they say about fat middle-aged Republicans, well, the same holds true for what I saw waddling out of those busses.

There was so much going on at the freep today, and I want to be sure to give others a chance to chime in so I'll leave some details out. There were LOTS of honks for us and our signs, believe me, many people know that Davis has got to go.

Badjoe had a wonderful experience. A pro football player who just retired this year, and I can't remember his name right now, sent his lackey out and invited Joe into the hotel for a drink, as he liked Joe's sign and what Joe was saying through the bullhorn. At first I thought it was a ploy to get us to quit freeping, but that was not the case.

Joe went into the hotel and came out to tell this story: He took his sign in with him and met the football player, who also went to Pitt, just as Joe did. They were having a wonderful time talking and Joe had his sign which he was holding up. A security man came over to Joe and told him he'd have to leave since he had that sign. Joe asked him, "Are you with the secret service?" The man said, "No, I'm with hotel security." Joe said, "So that means you don't carry a badge or gun, right?" The man replied, "That is correct sir but I will now have to escort you out of the hotel." Joe politely said that he wouldn't be leaving yet and then introduced him to his "bodyguard," the 6'8" 300-some pound football player. They all had a good laugh, Joe set his sign down and stayed to finish his beer and talk and the security person disappeared.

Some people have all the fun, don't they? I sure wish I could remember the name of the football player for you, he is on TV on a football show, his number was 98 and his name is something like Tory????

Anecdotes aside, this freep was fun, the surroundings were lovely, the people were sensational, the cops and security were there the whole time staring us down, very eerie to me, but it was a great accomplishment.

For you ladies out there, RonDog has great legs and actually looks pretty good dressed up as a hooker, I was impressed. I may go out and buy some fishnet stockings tomorrow, they do wonderful things to a woman, er, person's legs.

Auntie M - your report re the woman (#49) trapped by the union thugs in Mac Arthur Park, gave me goose bumps. Thanks
for excellent report. Her name should be given to a
continuing award for those exhibiting extreme bravery while under attack by bullying Libs. (hum, the MacArthur award?)
I wish so much I had been able to join you. I had committed
to work a booth at a local community fair - registering
voters, and we got a lot of pubs registered! A nice part of the day was all the grade schoolers who recognized the cut-out cardboard image of
President Bush, like him and wanted their picture taken with the cutout.
We gave out many 'Dump Davis' signs - thank you CarryOkie -
but only to those who promised to put them to good use.
The Orange County Sheriff's booths were near, with their
dogs, horse patrols, helicopter - big deal - Sheriffs were
asking for "Dump Davis" stickers for their trucks.
Vast majority of people commented on their hope that Simon
win.
All you Freepers in LA are my heros! Thanks for a great job.

There was a photo in the LA Times today, though. It was back on B-18. Simon was on page 1 of that same section, with the continuation of his article underneath the Hitlery-Grayout article

Thanks, Republic. I hope that threads like this INSPIRE others to get out on the streets. I had a hard week, it would have been so easy not to go, it was an hours' drive from my house, I knew the media wouldn't even notice us, but it was the other freep reports, those from DC, from Texas, Fresno, those guys in Boston who every weekend hit the streets, not wanting to disappoint RonDog who drives himself to the limits of exhaustion, and all the after freep reports from all over the country that kept me from succumbing to my natural inclination to be lazy.

I'm very glad I went. We truly are not alone.

If I didn't feel so sorry for that kid, I'd be laughing in that UNION THUG's face. The reality is that these Union Thugs are not "men"... in fact, some of them appear to be standing with transvestites, gays, and lesbians. No wonder they spit in the faces of the children and mothers of America!

Any union member who is dad should be ashamed of their collaboration with these types of tactics.

Had anyone been monitoring talk radio lately? The union guys have been calling these radio shows on the hour with the same talk radio agenda... and every program puts them on the air. We need to start freeping talk radio programs that are liberal...maybe someone has a good list of liberal talk radio shows to freep?

Viva Simon

Voto Simon

Remember that old SNL skit from the Election of 2000?
**********************************

Announcer: Live, from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, the third and final Presidential Debate. Here is moderator, Jim Lehrer.

Jim Lehrer: Good evening. I'm Jim Lehrer. Welcome to the third and final presidential debate of the 2000 campaign, between Vice-President Al Gore and Texas Governor George W. Bush. Tonight's debate will follow a Town Hall format. The candidates will answer questions put to them by nearly two dozen voters from the St. Louis area, voters who remain undecided. First question comes from Leslie Dawes, and it's for Governor Bush. Miss Dawes?

Leslie Dawes: Governor Bush, I've been following the campaign very closely, but I need to know more about where the candidates stand on the issues I really care about: protecting a woman's right to choose; dealing with global warming; and fighting the big oil companies; and HMOs. Do you and the Vice-President have any differences on these issues, which would help me decide which one to support? Right now, I have no idea.

George W. Bush: Well, Leslie, that's a very good question.. and uh.. thee are differences between the Vice-President and myself on those issues.

Leslie Dawes: I did not realize that.

George W. Bush: Yes, and on these issues you seem to be more tuned with him than with me. I'm kind of surprised you're still undecided!

Jim Lehrer: Mr. Vice-President, response?

Al Gore: Jim, I agree with the governor on this. Uh.. on each of these issues, Leslie strongly agrees with me and disagrees with my opponent.

George W. Bush: That's right. That's right.

Leslie Dawes: I'm sorry, but you're not telling me anything that helps me decide.

George W. Bush: I think you should vote for Mr. Gore, and not for me.

Al Gore: I'm gonna agree.

Leslie Dawes: I still can't decide.

Jim Lehrer: [ sighs ] The next question is from Mr. Dan McGrath, and it's for Vice-President Gore. Mr. McGrath.

Dan McGrath: Mr. Vice-President, I've been following this campaign, I've seen both debates.. but I still haven't made up my mind. To be frank, if you or Governor Bush want my vote, I have some questions that have to be answered.

Al Gore: Go ahead, Dan, I'm gonna do my best.

Dan McGrath: [ reading from card ] "Have either you or Governor Bush held elective office? Have you reached the age of 35 years, as required by the Constitution? And, are you an American citizen?" I'll step back and listen to your response.

Al Gore: [ stunned by the question ] Well, Dan, those are all.. excellent questions.. and while I can't speak for Governor Bush, let me say I served in both the Congress and the Senate, and as Vice-President for the last eight years. I'm 53, and I was born in this country. The United States.

Dan McGrath: Thank you. Thank you, that helped me.

Jim Lehrer: Governor Bush?

George W. Bush: Well, Dan.. I admire your skepticism, and to be quite honest, I think you're the perfect profile of a Bush supporter. [ returns to his seat having not actually answered the question ]

Jim Lehrer: Undecided voter Dan McGrath. Our next question is for the Vice-President, and it comes from Mr. George H.W.B. George?

George Bush: Well, Mr. Vice-President there.. As an undecided voter, I watched those first two debates trying to make up my mind there. My question is, why'd you look so agitated up there? Kind of spooky!

Jim Lehrer: President Bush, I'm afraid this is in violation of the rules. Questions in tonight's debate may only come from undecided voters.

George Bush: Well, I'll be honest with you, Jim - haven't fully made up my mind. I love my son - I love all my sons. Jeb, Governor of Florida down there; Neil, had that problem with the Savings & Loan; then there's George W. - wanna vote for him, wanna support him.. have those reservations about character. As a young man, he was bad! Bad! A lotta wild oats, lotta hoochie-coochie, surfing, kinda wild, a lot of that stuff going on! But he was a young man.. So, to sum up: love my son, but still on the fence!

Jim Lehrer: Mr. President, you are not an undecided voter!

George Bush: Well, I'm leaning. I'm leaning towards W. Look at that lean.. [ leans ] ..I'm leaning, but still unsure. W. has not closed the deal.

Jim Lehrer: Mr. President, please don't make this any harder than it is.

George Bush: Alright, Jim, I understand. I'll just be quiet.

Jim Lehrer: Our next question is for Vice-President Gore, and comes from Mr. Roger Clyman. Mr. Clyman?

Roger Clyman: [ obviously a decoy ] Mr. Vice-President, as an undecided neutral voter, not committed to either candidate, trying to make up my mind - I'm wondering about Governor Bush's risky tax scheme to steal the trillion dollar surplus from Social Security and Medicare, wasting it on a tax cut for the rich, and taking us back to those awful times when his father nearly brought our economy to its knees, and caused AIDS and homelessness. Tell me, how would your plan differ, so I can decide which one of you to vote for?

Al Gore: That's an excellent question, Roger, and I thank you for it. [ winks ] Let me begin by saying that under my plan, the surplus would not be wasted, but protected in what I call a "lock-box".

Roger Clyman: A "lock-box"! That's a fantastic idea! I love that idea!

Al Gore: Oh, thank you.

Jim Lehrer: Next, a question for Governor Bush, from Mr. Jorge H.W.B.

George Bush: [ disguised in Mexican garb with his Secret Service Agents ] Well.. as an undecided Latino voter - mi English unbiquito here - but I'd like to ask Governor Bush here, didn't that last question seem a little biased? A little skewed? Not totally on the level? That last fellow - possible shill.. possible Democratic operative over there..

Jim Lehrer: President Bush, please.

George Bush: [ takes off his hat ] Alright, Jim. Just trying to even things up, level that playing field. Won't happen again.

Jim Lehrer: [ sighs ] We have time for one more question. It's for Governor Bush, it concerns Social Security, and it comes from Barbara B.

George Bush: [ dressed as as old lady with his Secret Service Agents ] Now, Governor Bush, as a retired person living on Social Security, I think you're a terribly bright, charming young fellow - definitely not moronic. One other thing - "Live, from New York, it's Saturday Night!"

Good call. I was thinking Tory Holt because of the name but he's not 300 lbs and that's not his number. You're probably right

Here's how the longer version reads...

"Experience we trust [cigars, Monica, pantry sinks, bombing third-world, aspirin factories, selling sleep-overs in the Lincoln Bedroom to dull-as-dishwater, air-headed Hollywood perverts]. Values we share [bribes for cash, selling US military secrets to the Chinese, lying under oath, having your young aide/sex partner bumped off in a DC park, trusting Hussein rather than the POTUS, etc.]

Oh and by the way,
Spitting in another person's face can be considered assault. Saliva has germs and most places have anti-spitting laws that are on the books for public health reasons. You could charge that thug with assault on a minor (which is as added charge for child abuse).

I couldn't talk hubby dearest into going to the Freep the Creep event Sat. If I had known YOU two guys would be there, I would have tried harder to talk him into it! I am here in Claremont. It took me over an hour to drive to the KFI show in front of Gray Davis offices in LA last week, and 2 1/2 hours to drive home in rush hour traffic, bumper to bumper to bumper to bumber all the way home. I was exhausted! Los Angeles is like a thousand Houstons!!!!! Freepmail me next time you will be at an event, and I will try HARDER to be there. I have to take my husband of 30 years into consideration. He really doesn't like it when I go to these events......

I wrote a very nice polite letter to Al Gore when he and Bubba were running for re-election. I told him I didn't think he should LIE on TV about Conservatives. I told him that he was elected to serve the entire country and not just the people who voted for him, once he was elected as VP, his job was to serve the entire USA. He wrote back to me. He said he STRONGLY disagreed with me! That says a lot about him as a person. Thus, he thinks it is fine to LIE on TV about ME. And he doesn't think he should give a flying rats ass about me, if he is elected to national office. I lost all respect for him when he sent me that letter.

Dear Barb,
I'm not surprised. I've had a great deal of fun chatting about life with GOP politicians and office staff (who are genuinely interested in solving some problems created by RAT legislation). On the other hand, the Clinton-Gore camp played Bad Cop - Good Cop for the past 40 years (Clinton-Gore was just the most recent incarnation).

The reality is that the RATS are a threat to national security now. Their activists are demonstrating against self-protection of our nation.

Let them demonstrate...

At this point, it is a far wiser use of your time to either
1. Encourage liberals to examine the Green Party candidate
2. Refocus on the Simon Campaign and help spread the word on the campaign of Bill Simon (the FACTS, not the bald-faced lies by Davis)
3. Don't drag your hubby out when he doesn't want to... he's just being protective of you. Just make sure he votes GOP in 3 weeks and that he calls 10 other guys to do the same.

Happy FR God bless America
