if a relationship produces more pain then happiness its a bad relationship

It's an unfortunate but also necessary part of the process of finding out what kind of person is compatible with you. That said, if you want to find an old-fashioned, low-maintenence girl with brains AND beauty, start your search with your local Republican party headquarters.

Stop dodging, the point is you're wrong. Lives get ruined by single bad decisions. That's how it works. Might be marrying the wrong person, might be riding the wrong horse, might be drinking and driving, might be obsessing on the bitterness of a bad relationship. One bad decision and your life if foqed. The important thing is to not be crippled with fear of life, that's the ultimate bad decision. I'd rather be crippled like Reeves than crippled like you.

No im not a great writer one of my great comforts on entering engineering school was that I would never have to see the inside of another English class( they did have a humanities requirement but I did that in history much more to my liking). BTW given that a bunch of ebonics words are now part of the Queen's English( so I heard here on FR) I wouldn't bet too heavily that irregardless is not part of it either.

Who dodged the point?

Sure it happens, I only said it shouldnt. Or is reading your second language? It happens that way all the time.

HONEY!

"women are easy to find"

I think you should rephrase that to "sluts are easy to find". The fact they happen to be women is unnecessary information.

Sooooo, since that's what you're looking for and happy with - I can definitely see why marriage is not for you.

Another one!

Oink to you too, dear.

The connecting of the words "woman" and "slut" is your doing, not mine.

Who married up? She was just as bad off as me, but her job had better benefits. Which wasn't why we got married. I was still a burger jokey for two years after we got married, then I did some investigating.

All people change radically as they get older, that's how life works. The thing is to grow older together, to understand each others changes. It's a sad person who's spent years ignoring their spouse that thinks the person suddenly changed. They didn't, they don't. All people change a little bit every day, including you. That's part of the fun. How monotonous would life be if we never learned and changed at any point in the 80 years or so we're hoping to have on the planet? My wife isn't at ALL the same person I married 10 years ago, thank God for small favors. I'm too old and impatient to put up with someone that naive anymore, which tells you that I'm not the same person either.

Ebonics is a second language.

And the dictionary still says irregardless is junk

Everything except the laws of the universe constantly changes but change is not always a good thing. If you marry a girl thinking she is perfect currently then the probability is of her changeing for the worse and not for the better.

Oh you're so cute when you realize you're full of crap but show a complete lack of enough cajones to admit. Stuff the honey crap. I used to think you were an alright guy. Thanks for proving me wrong.

You said one decision, in regards to marrying the wrong person, shouldn't ruin a person's life. I demonstrated that marriage is by no means alone in that one decision almost anywhere. Now if you want to rail against the inequities of life go do that on another thread. This one is about marriage. You used the one bad decision thing as a reason it's bad. You're wrong. Admit it. Show some balls. Or are anonymous insults from behind a psuedonym the best you can muster toots?

It takes work to get there, and there are ups and downs, but there is nothing else in life quite like being married to your best friend and lover.

You got that right! The problem with too many marraiges is that they are T/A formulated. There are people of both sexes who should never get married. Among them are the ones who wake up hung over in the morning wondering who the strange person is lying next to them .

Hmm let me see if I understand this. According to you anyone that understands the difference between sex and a relationship is displaying effeminate characteristics and is to be made fun of with inappropriate use of feminine pronouns?

I think I understand why your wife left you. I'm sorry she ever married you in the first place... sorry for her, clearly she deserves better.

Change isn't always for the better. Again that's life. See none of your complaints about marriage, similar to BhuddaWhine's, are unique to marriage. I've never met anyone that's perfect, ever. Anybody waiting for the perfect mate will die alone. If there were perfect mates relationships wouldn't require effort. All relationships require effort, all of life requires effort.

Yeesh, remind me to never get anywhere near anything you build. You do realize that what you're learning in engineering school is how a few professor think the world works. As it sits the Websters dictionary is, has been for a long time, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future, the definition of the English language. Regardless of how little respect you have for the makers.

Nice try, but I've never been married. Close many times, but sanity always prevailed.

You dont know me from Adam. I just thought you folks were gals, seriously. LOL!

The opinions concur with objective experimental evidence even the engineering approximations. Besides im not a civil so you don't have to worry about any bridges or buildings collapsing due to my stupidity( and with the imminent arrival of molecular transistors on the market a lot of what I was taught is going to be obsolete anyway).

Well there it is, yet you are still upset?

Or are you really angry that I called you on your explaination for Reeve's accident. That would be effeminate of you too, ya know. Relax, why dont you? It's just a discussion.
