No he doesn't. But that didn't stop two worse-than-mediocre schools (MTSU and Fisk) from hiring him to teach!!! I called and complained that they had their nerve using my tax dollars to hire a "professor" who did not have the credentials to teach anything in college but they didn't care.

Gore arrived at Harvard with an impressive 1355 SAT score, 625 verbal and 730 math, compared with Bush's 1206 total from 566 verbal and 640 math. In his sophomore year at Harvard, Gore's grades were lower than any semester recorded on Bush's transcript from Yale. That was the year Gore's classmates remember him spending a notable amount of time in the Dunster House basement lounge shooting pool, watching television, eating hamburgers and occasionally smoking marijuana. His grades temporarily reflected his mildly experimental mood, and alarmed his parents. He received one D, one C-minus, two C's, two C-pluses and one B-minus, an effort that placed him in the lower fifth of the class for the second year in a row.

The one course in which he received straight A's was art, which he took all four years of high school." What makes Gore's lackluster grades all the more interesting is that he was, by all accounts, a hard worker. He had to apply himself to be mediocre. And he didn't do much better at Harvard, making a C and a C-minus in his first two English courses.

In his sophomore year, Maraniss writes, "Gore's grades were lower than any semester recorded on Bush's transcript from Yale." That year, Gore received one D, one C-minus, two C's, two C-pluses, and one B-minus. Maraniss reports Gore improved in his junior year and earned a B, a B-minus, and an A-minus in three government courses.

After college and the Army, Gore went to Vanderbilt for graduate work in religious studies. Maraniss says Gore "failed to complete any of the three courses he took in the fall of 1971, and those incompletes eventually lapsed into F's. He returned for another semester in the spring of 1972, when two more incompletes turned into F's."

In 1971, Gore enrolled in Vanderbilt Divinity School where, according to Bill Turque, author of ''Inventing Al Gore,'' he received F's in five of the eight classes he took over the course of three semesters. Not surprisingly, Gore did not receive a degree from the divinity school. Nor did Gore graduate from Vanderbilt Law School, where he enrolled for a brief time and received his fair share of C's. Also, Bush underwent USAF pilot training and won his wings as a fighter pilot. I have undergone flight training (radar navigator) in the USAF. It is difficult, strenuous, and a real mental challenge. Don't even get me talking about celestial navigation. Shudder! Dummies don't hack it!

Gore has spent the last week or more bad-mouthing Bush and at his last press appearance, the first question out of a reporter's mouth was, "Why aren't you wearing your wedding ring?" That's how intellectual Little Al is considered to be right now.

Even more challenging was getting all the seeds out of his pot, operating a child-proof lighter, and figuring out which end of the water bong to suck on.

The course Gore received his D in was Earth Science, which was a famous gut course designed to enable scientific illiterates to satisfy the science requirement at Harvard--in other words, science for dummies.

Then Gore went on and wrote "Earth in the Balance."

There was a famous web site that posted extracts from Gore's book alongside extracts from the Unibomber's diary, and challenged visitors to distinguish which was which. It was impossible to tell which was which. I tried assuming that the Unibomber's writings would sound crazier; then I tried assuming that Gore's writings would sound crazier. Neither method worked. They were truly indistinguishable.

But if you ask any liberal, even now, you can be sure they will swear that Gore's book was a work of genius which established him as one of the greatest ecological minds of our time.
