We live in a world where entertainers reach megastar status with the hard earned dollars of Republicans. In turn, they use their fame as a political platform to support our enemies.
Folks such as Alec Baldwin, Julia Roberts, Martin Sheen, Jessica Lange, Barbra Streisand, Rosie O'Donnell, Jon Bon Jovi, Cher, Leo DiCaprio, etc. have long shot their mouths off supporting liberal causes and liberal political candidates. It's time we show them that they cannot alienate half of their audience (i.e. Republicans) and continue to be successful.
For the most part, we know who these "stars" are, and I imagine most of us try to avoid patronizing their work. I want to go one better.
I am proposing a website that lists entertainers from all fields that support the left. It would contain information on their level of support, as well as all projects they are in, past and present. We will all make a pledge to steadfastly boycott their work, and encourage others to do so. Admittedly, it will be difficult, as many are great performers. But it is time we stood up for what we believe in.
If we can get more Republicans involved in the boycotting of their films/albums we can make a serious enough dent in their bottomline to stop these limosine liberals from using our money and support to destroy our ideals.
Let's create a site with a list of these offenders. Let's stick to our guns and boycott these offenders. Let's make offending us the equivalent to career suicide. Let's show these people that if they must open their uninformed mouths, they sure as hell better be supporting our causes.

I'm pro-gun and member of Second Amendment Sisters. They have a anti-gun listing of celebrities and corporations who have donated or lent their name to anti-gun causes. As soon as I saw this list, I stopped supporting them with my dollars. Take a look if you like under "Celebrities":

Anyone see Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond)on Bill O'Reilly a few nights ago. She had a few things to say about Babs Streisand. Ms. Heaton is very pro-life and Republican and I think we should show our support and go buy her book!

A few others for the Hall of Shame: Pete Seeger (old time Commie folk singer turned environmental whacko); Joan Baez; Walter Cronkite (not technically an entertainer, but an annoying One Worlder and liberal
eminence grise); Meryl Streep (a/k/a Alar Annie); Michael Moore (leftist movie maker); Oliver Stone (ditto); Woody Allen (married to his stepdaughter and admitted "bigot for the left"); Ian McKellen (a Brit, but also a homosecual activist); Casey Kasem; Ossie Davis (like Ed Asner, an old-time leftie); Bruce Springsteen; Warren Beatty; Glenn Close (a Hillary Clinton contributor); Michael Douglas (ditto); Nicole Kidman (ditto, despite her Australian citizenship); Norman Lear (People for the (Un-)American Way); Bryant Gumbel (never give a conservative dumb enough to be interviewed by him an even break); Peter Jennings (Canadian ditto).
Here is a list of entertainment and fashion industry contributors to Hillary Clinton's Senate campaign (some names are duplicates of ones I posted earlier): Candice Bergen, actress: $1,000 Jimmy Buffett, singer: $670 Lynda Carter, actress: $1,000 Glenn Close, actress: $1,000 Judy Collins, singer: $2,000 Sean "Puffy" Combs, rap artist: $1,000 Tom Cruise, actor: $2,000 Michael Douglas, actor: $1,000 Don Henley, singer: $1,000 Lauren Hutton, model: $1,000 Harvey Keitel, actor: $1,000 Nicole Kidman, actress: $2,000 Calvin Klein, designer: $1,000 Ralph Lauren, designer: $1,000 Paul Newman, actor: $1,000 Martin Scorsese, director: $2,000 Gail Sheehy, author: $500 Steven Spielberg, filmmaker: $2,000 Barbra Streisand, entertainer: $1,000

Why do that instead? Why not do it in addition, e.g., list a score of all actors / actresses, and then quotes of those on each extreme. A score wouldn't be called a hate list, and would also publicize who's for us.
But I agree - want to stop sponsoring the enemy.

Hey, Cheri Oteri is a cutey...leave her off the list... I have yet to hear her views, does she hold any dissenting views?
To: Jadge
Wouldn't it be easier, and a lot shorter, just to make a list of the media celebrities who aren't loudmouthed leftwing horse's asses?

No doubt she's a cutey but when John John crashed & burned she was all tore up about losing another liberal.

Russell Crowe is not on-record as supporting any political party, because as a non-citizen, he sees it as none of his business (imagine the non-gall of that). However, his band did happen to play at a charity benefit for Texas Governor Rick Perry, on Perry's daughter's birthday, and he has described Perry as a "friend" on several occasions, so that might tell you something.
Yeah, his band sucks, but what the hell - he's a brilliant actor, regardless. And Hollywood already hates his guts, else they wouldn't have robbed him for that weak-as-hell performance by Denzel. And don't forget who threw herself all over Denzel when he "won," hm?

Did anyone mention Sarah Jessica Parker?
Gawd, she's not only radical liberal but too gutless to come out and say it. Her snide and subtle anti-conservative remarks irk me to no end. Hey, I'm fine with her having whatever views she has just I wish she'd have the balls to say them instead of trying to sneak them into dialogue.
To: anniegetyourgun
I'd add Sharon Stone.Yes, she is an important addition to the list. Her husband, Phil Bronstein, is the editor of the San Francisco Communist (aka San Francisco Chronicle). If you read that paper, it is so far left you'd swear she was the editor instead of her husband.

Do you want to admin a site I made for a listing of punk celebs?
To: Jadge
The twit that plays Dharma on "Dharma and Greg". Can't remember her name, but we had an entire thread on her one time when she was claiming "artists" were the most important kind of people, IIRC.
To: Still Thinking
Jenna Elfman. Can't decide which sounds more whimsical/hippified, her real name or her show name.
To: itsLUCKY2B
Just curious, what exactly was the big deal there, and what was Harris b!tching about? I don't know the story.

I should update my Acceptable list:
- Clint Eastwood
- Mel Gibson
- Bruce Willis
- Samuel Jackson - don't know his politics, which is a good sign
- Arnold Schwarzenegger
- Charlton Heston
- Tom Selleck - has he done anything lately?
- Chuck Norris - ditto
- Russel Crowe - don't know his politics, either, but he likes to read poems which is a bad sign
- Kurt Russel - libertarian, I believe
- Al Pacino - some may say he's liberal, but doesn't shove it in my face and I am not going to stop watching 'The Godfather'...sorry
- Gary Oldman
- James Woods
- Host of other, minor character actors who I'm forgetting, I'm sure
The list is getting bigger...

I think this is a good idea. There's a lot of pressure in Hollywood for actors to toe the leftist line, and those who've refused to do so have been abused and blacklisted by their peers and some have even seen their careers ruined by Hollywood's "movers and shakers". It's time for us to apply some "counterpressure".
In spite of all the socialist utopia BS these lefties spout, it's cold hard cash that reigns in Hollywood. No matter how talented an actor is, if he isn't bankable, he isn't diddly squat.
I like the idea of having a celebrity "good guys" list, as well. It's true that by supporting the good guys, we'd still be helping a few bad guys, (producers, studio moguls, etc.) but it would still send a very strong message to the lefties if our good guys became the most bankable stars in the industry. Also, heavily patronizing those rare gems that Hollywood sometimes produces, movies that include a pro-American or pro-traditional morality theme, would send a strong message, too.
As for the "bad guys" list, maybe you should have a "Most Notorious" list, too. I don't think we should bother as much with the milder and quieter Hollywood 'Rats; they have a right to disagree with us, and shouldn't be boycotted if they're relatively harmless. But, we should focus like a laser on the loud-mouthed, zealous, in-your-face, anti-American crusaders. If they hate capitalism that much, then it's time we helped them realize their dream of standing in a bread line.

Don't forget that walking, talking, hunk of smelly excretement, Robert Altman. This shouldn't be too difficult, considering most movies that I rent nowadays suck big time! I have to rent 15 movies just to find one that was worth watching. Hollywood is really starting to suck!
To: Nea Wood
Well, look at the role she plays. First almost gets married to a dentist, then leaves him at the altar then picks up with Ross, then with the guy from Italy, then she wants Ross back and he's with someone else then she has a thing with joey and then gets pregnant and on and on with an irresponsible life. Granted I realize it is a SITCOM but still... so for her to call President Bush an idiot in that Valley Girl tone...well, will the REAL IDIOT please stand up?
I love when an "actress" or "actor" who knows nothing about what is going on makes an assinine statement like that. They sure make fools of themselves or they really don't care as long as they get the publicity for their interviews whether the interview comes off intelligent or not. Go figure.
To: NEWwoman
It was Spielberg but believe it or not, I believe it was Tom Cruise who also agreed.
