What has happened to U.S.?
Me | 10/2/2002 | Me

What has happened to our image as a beacon of freedom, opportunity and the right way to live?

Much of the world fears or hates us. We have a proclaimed policy of attacking any country whose policies or regimes don't follow our dictates.

Why have we become the biggest bully in the world?

So goodnight comrade. Just like the cancer from which you were spawned you have been shown for the wretched, mewling coward you are.

Cuba, Bay of Pigs. Panama. Haiti. Columbia, during the development of the Panama Canal. Most of the Indian Tribes. Mexico. Canada. Spain. Phillipines. China (Boxer Rebellion). Vietnam...by first supporting the French. Should I go on?

I presume your criticism of US foreign policy, through the many decades, stems from a perspective much different from my own. Do you contend that for each example, that the US acted wrongly?

Taking Cuba for instance: would it have been wise to allow nuclear armed missiles to be based near our own territory, by the USSR using Cuba as their proxy?

Our enemies act in what they believe is their own best interest; and we likewise do exactly the same thing. If you imagine some lofty morality, in which the US would stand by idle, without action, then I might reasonably conclude your history information comes from study at say, UC Berkeley.

International relations, and occasional wars, are not a pretty business. Like I implied at the opening, it depends on your perspective.

If you think the US would survive, applying some Berkeleyesque reasoning, you are at the least a misguided idealogue.

For decades the US (and our allies) were involved in an epoch conflict, called the Cold War. It appears the next epoch conflict will be against muslim terrorists. If you like muslim terrorists better than you like America, then we are on opposing sides.

Where in American history will I find reference to "Stavka2."

Let's take a look at Russia and the USSR:

China (Boxer Rebellion): Occupied Manchuria. Did not leave thereby leading to war with Japan.

Most of the Asian Peoples of East Russia and those Peoples bordering on Southern Russia.

Poland.

Finland.

Estonia.

Lithuania.

Latvia.

Hungary.

Czechoslovakia.

The oppression of the rest of Eastern Europe.

Korea: Supporting North Korean invasion of South Korea.

Vietnam: Supporting North Vietnamese invasion of South Vietnam.

Afghanistan.

Cuba: Supporting the Communist oppression of that country.

Latin America/Africa: Supporting violent guerilla movements to further the Communist cause.

Soviet Union: The killing of millions of it's own people.

Should I go on?

Old man, what ever makes you feel good about yourself and your lack of manhood. What ever. You are what most people around the world think of Americans...loud mouth and ignorant. If it wasn't for people like you, there might not be such a stereo type. By the way, just keep ignoring any point I made, because you know deep inside, under the layers of fat and ego, that you really are to ignorant to discuss such things in learned company. I know, your brain is trying very hard to come up with something whitty, but since that fails you, you write what you write. It's understandable. You had the typical education....public. Don't worry about it, the world will keep going without you and better men will make keep it turning.

But don't worry about it, these issues are to high for you to contemplate...keep swilling the beer and believing what you are told. Burn the books that don't agree with you and Seig Heil if you are told too...you are the right caste for that.

Have a good life and retirement, while men like me, who do have the spine to go into danger do manly things. You just weren't genetically made for it, don't worry...not your fault.

In some instance the US did act wrongly, in some stupidly. Cuba...Castro did not have to be a US enemy. He lead a popular revolution, with much american public behind him...I will remind you, to oust a CIA backed mass murderer called Batista, in a country where 10% owned everything and 90% lived in abject poverty. Was this wrong? The US backed the wrong player. Haiti...the US has invaded Haiti 4 times in the last 150 years...why? What difference, besides killing people did it ever make? Panama...when Columbia did not agree to US terms for the canal, the US backed rebels with the use of the US navy, firing on the Columbians, trying to keep a nation togather....is this what George Washington taught?

Over 100 agreements signed and all broken with the indians. After the first Siminal War, the loyal Creek tribes were then forced off their land and onto the Trail of Tears...only one example of many. Canada was invaded by the US in 1812. Mexico refused to sell/give away land. The US initiated war with Mexico, by moving troops into the disputed border area around the Rio Grande R. Spain, the Spanish American war was nothing but the stripping of Spanish territory and colonies. That is why the Phillipines were won in 2 weeks and a 4 year insurrection/war soon followed. The Chinese Boxers were rebelling against colonial policies, yes also policies followed by Russia too, never said they were right in this case.

Tokyo had half it's harbor blown up and the rest threatened by Admiral Perry, when they didn't want to trade with him. Vietnam? Ho Chimen came to the US first for aid against the French, only after American sided with him did he go to the Chinese and Soviets.

As for the nukes in Cuba, the US had nukes in Turky on the Soviet border. Difference?

Again you ignore the simple facts. Iraq has no provable links to Al Quida, Saudi Arabia does...but whom does the US protect and whom does it attack? Ever wonder why the US for the last 15 years has consitently backstabbed Christians over Muslims, especially Wahhibists? Could it be all the money that the Democrats and REPUBLICANS alike sell their souls for? Where did those 19 come from? Not one from IRAQ but FIFTEEN from Saudi leading families. Think man, think.

Ok, lets get something down on record here, bub. I have never supported the actions of the Soviets, who were imported by Western Intellectuals...so go ahead and drop that little bogus crap of yours once and for all. If you think I'm talking down to you on this, I am. Once you get that little racist crap out of your skull, we'll talk like human beings, otherwise bugger off.

As for Manchuria, Russian presense there led to war with Japan only because Japan wanted it as much as Russia. I never said I agreed with occupation of Manchuria. As for the "asian" peoples, that was an almost bloodless colonization, why, unlike the 1.5 million US indians that are all that is left, all those indigenous peoples are still there. The Central Republics were taken because of continous slavery raids into Russia, led primarly by the principality of Kiva. Don't know what I'm talking about? Go read up. Well, considering about a third of Poland was Russian historical ground...principalities of Kieven Russ.

Finland was taken from Sweden in a war that Sweden began. Sorry, try harder. Same for the Batlic statelets...Lithuania was the primary aggressor for a long time, attacking, robbing and stealing for over 300 years after and during the Mongol invasions. Again, try harder.

The rest were under the Soviets, and I've told you that part.

But I will say this much about Latin America...the US still supports some of the most herandous regimes in history in those areas...such as Gutemala....a regime which butchered well over 200,000 of their own people...in such a small country.

The difference is perspective, and I have profoundly AMERICAN perspective. From all of your postings, it is clear that you do not have an American perspective.

You have the type on anti-American perspective that is taught by UC Berkeley, which if followed would have led to a far different world than we live in now.

If Iraq complies with the terms of the 1991 UN Cease Fire, and the 16 subsequent resolutions, they won't be attacked. I said nothing about al Qaeda, now did I?

You are right, I do have a different perspective....but do you mean to say that everyone who doesn't have "your" American perspective has the Berkeley perspective....a rather broad brush, I'd say. I do not have their perspective either. I have a perspective built upon my culture and upon my life experiences and my knowledge....it's called individualism. I look at things more from a neutral stand point. If you simply state: it's American so it's right, you open yourself up for all kinds of disasters. Critical self examination keeps a nation in the black not the red of not only finances but morality as well.

I think it is due to an imperial policy.

We have a right to be imperialistic (assuming we truly are). Our way works; "theirs" doesn't.

Two questions if you would answer them, please:

You don't understand that Saddam Hussein wants to end these things in America?

What Nationality are you?

Someone is trying to extinguish that beacon and we are responding to that threat. (Just how did you miss that with your "unblinking eye".)

Much of the world fears or hates us.

Much of the world either embraces or fears radical Islam. You wish our actions to be dictated by the sentiments of cowards?

We have a proclaimed policy of attacking any country whose policies or regimes don't follow our dictates.

We do not! That is quite simply a lie.

Why have we become the biggest bully in the world?

We have actually exercised far more restraint than we should, and more than any of these other nations would if they were in our position.

(You should consider changing your name to "The Big Red Eye". It would be much more fitting.)

Nationality, yeah, I'm Russian....got a problem with that? Oh, but I degress, you see, only you are smart enough to see things...the rest of the world are just communists if they don't agree with you. You'd make Stalin proud...what are you going to do, set up reeducation camps for all those who don't take up your view?

As for seeing or understanding things...please post the proof of Saddam's involvement....but I can post tons of proof out there on Saudi Arabia's involvement...but everyone is to brainwashed to want to see it or wonder for a moment why the US government continues to support the Saudies...go ahead, you've been instructed by your betters whom to hate...hate away, it takes a brain to figure out who the real enemy might be....but don't let that bother the lot of you.

Well, only time will tell, there are a few things out of wack in the US:

  1. NASDAQ down 79%
  2. Bordering a recession
  3. Massive unpayable public debt
  4. Most Americans live one paycheck away from being on the street
  5. 27% obesity
  6. 30% just overweight...to fat
  7. More gays and feminazies then you can shake a stick at
  8. Worst public education in the developed world
  9. Nazies, KKK, Aryan Nations, Black Panthers, etc, etc
  10. Government whole sale corruption...you elect them for one thing and they get paid by special interests, such as your allie Saudi Arabia, to do the exact opposite.
  11. Social Security and Medicare will be bust within a decade.
  12. Many other issues that no one wants to tackle, either party....because they are afraid or just don't care.
