Thanks for the tip

Glad to see you in rare form this morning. You have done your hurricane duty this season & you get to sit on the sidelines & watch. Houston is deadly calm this am, not a breath of a breeze. Best wishes to all in Lousiana today, its one of my favorite places.

Sheesh.
And you were doing so good earlier on this thread.

Your link is OLDER. The white house didn't block... Bush signed the bill, what more do you want?

The weather channel anchor just reported that hunter aircraft recorded 110 mph winds in the NE quadrant of the eyewall. If you live near New Iberia, hold on.

>>Far too many mock and scoff because they have done the latter. >Sheesh.
Throw a rock in a pack of dogs and the one that yelps is the one who was hit.

It's really getting bad now, Mother-in-law just woke up! Oh No!

what more do you want?No Palie state in Israel, ever. Stop meddling in Israel's round-up of terrorist murderers.

Should I ask her to walk the dogs? (She slept through our little escapade)

Take it to the appropriate thread, please.

No that's good. Some strong bands are heading in, and she got up just in time to do a velocity check. To make sure she gets a good reading better attach the wind meter to a long metal rod, and have her hold it aloft!

Mother-in-law just woke up! Oh No! That's bad. Sometimes, hot air intensives these things. [-)

The storm is really weakening fast! I'm glad; I had visions of New Orleans being destroyed with buildings crashing over and stuff. Glad things aren't so bad after all! The land of my loved ones will remain intact! At least this time anyway. Uncle Sham, you are a hoot. Very typical of people from that area. It's a big reason I like it so much. I went to a family reunion some years ago and met a bunch of relatives, cousins of my father and so on; those people were a real scream! They are so funny and warm and friendly.

You must of had a good year...but like I said...'AVERAGE'...average out the years. And they weren't talking partly cloudy days either.
No...I didn't go to EA schools. I lived in Elma and Wales growing up.

If you leave one breaker with a light or two on,you'll know when you get solid electric back to kick everything else back on.
The hint's really for anybody that happens to read the thread and hasn't run into equipment being ruined by brownouts.
Some folks don't think about it if they haven't experienced it.

I live in "Cajun" country. These wonderfull people are really a joy to live among. They are hard-working, honest, and simple. No complications, just warmth and great music and food!
To: Uncle Sham
I think these winds and rains win the award so far for most intense. I don't know how much longer the power will last. Lydia, (5 miles away) just lost power.
To: Uncle Sham
I'm quite suprised at how long I've maintained power so far.
To: Uncle Sham
Worst is still not there yet. Some heavy cells in the eye wall as well. Possible tornados...
