Our system is brokeA result of "Right Flight": we ceded government, academia, media, etc to the Left.

3rd Republican lawyer on. Each is better than the last.

I wasn't really criticizing you. We all make mistakes. I was just trying to figure out how it happened.

OK, I have new resepct for Libertarians. The Libertarins speech is making the fundamental points on denying politcal machines the means to abuse the laws meant to protect the voters.
To: jdontom
Libertarian Party lawyer railing on the Dems argument that there is no choice if Toricelli stays on the ballot. Should be interesting to hear the justices reaction since all along they have dismissed 3rd parties as irrelevant and that there is no true choice if there isn't both a Repub and Dem on the ballot. She has a good argument but will get slammed down because she flies in the face of the justices' political ideology.

Whoo. I just got back from lunch. Who's this lady talking? She is makeing a good point pointing out why we have a "Rule of Law"
To: agrace
Why isn't she a FReeper. Great arguments against demoncratic fraud.
"We've got it worked out. The fix is in. They offered to grease the skids."
To: agrace
The Libertarian is doing a great job on the law and on fair enforcement -- emphasizing that the third parties are held to every jot and tittle of the law, asks majors to be held to same standard. Too bad they will not listen to her!

How is it going to play with Torch voters? I really don't know. I know that Torch hates Lautenberg & vice versa. But are these Torch voters per se, or are they Dems? If they're Torch voters, they'll stay home. If they're Dems they may march lock-step to the polls & vote for Lautenberg--it depends on what kind of a campaign he puts on to woo the dems back home. Or are they just fed up with all the legal hijinks and will say, "to hell with it?" It's too early to tell. I think most of the traditional dem & rino voters are in shock & don't know what to think or do. I'm sure they'll figure it out by Nov. 5th.

So if a Superbowl is lopsided by halftime, can the losing conference bring in a substitute team, to make the second half more 'fair'?
What if the quarterback is arrested before the game starts, can that team bring in an All-Star quarterback from a different team?
To: chris_in_nj; Miss Marple
If the Libertarian makes that argument, then it helps us out a lot. We can say, "It wasn't us, it was the Libertarians."

They sounds terribly uninformed.
I called the Clerk and asked why they were talking about logistics and not the law. She didn't have an answer.

Someone needs to fax or call Rush and tell him about the poll the NJ court is conducting. Reply 437 has the telephone number.
This is wild - A court taking a poll -

Yep, she's bringing up EVERYTHING we all wish they'd address - Torricelli's withdrawal was a political one, primarily. Go lady go, whatever your name is. :)

Here is the phone number for Forrester's headquarters: (609) 890-4699 I called to give my support, even though I'm from NY. I also expressed my outrage over the NJSC working as a Democrat team player. "How do we get what you want, DNC" legislation.
To: chris_in_nj
She's bringing up the "Clinton, Daschle, McGreevy" calls...this was a political decision to prevent the Dem. Senate losing power & control. it's not MY fault if Toricelli feels he can't continue...they can use write-in campaign--good arguments but the justices are probably thinking about what to order for lunch by now

She's the best lawyer so far -- and the most brutally honest! Maybe I will reregister Libertarian!
To: CatoRenasci
I'm in CT and thought I could get the local NJ feed but I can't. The Libertarian lawyer is really laying the case on the line. Says Torch's choice is a POLITICAL one.
Given Barone's invoking of federal election statutes, what is your opinion as to whether the US supremes will hear this case after the kangaroo court decision?

Ha! Libertarian Lady explaining the reasons for laws to them. Slamming Torcelli for trying to help Dems keep their majority and manipulate the outcome. Very good arguments.
