It's Florida all over again...screw the military (never mind that some of these guys/gals are risking their lives to defend our right to vote in a free elction). This guy is good...but I still have a sick feeling that they're going to let this switch be made

I'm actually quite serious.
Don't know if he would win, but he'd have a much better shot than.....what's his name?
Can someone here post the RNC number, so we can start calling them with this suggestion?

Congrats, today is my 20th wedding anniversary as well. Wouldn't it be funny if you two were married to each other and neither realized the other was a closet FReeper?
Anyway, congratulations to you both, jointly and severally.

My kid in NJ said that the Dems she knows aren't all that enthused by Lautenberg. He's kind of "blah," accord to what they told her. Even if he gets on the ballot, he could still lose.

Now they're talking about moving the certification date days after Election Day to accommodate the 35 days. It's Florida all over again.

One of the justices just said that if the candidate had died then we would have to change the ballots since the voters would not have a choice.I think Justices live in another world than we do otherwise they would have heard about the Missouri Carnahan fiasco and what is going on in Hawaii.
You can't take dead people off the ballot if the time has passed it's the law in these cases.

Perhaps Racicot could enter the race in Montana as a "protest."I second this, too.

http://www.nypost.com/news/regionalnews/58613.htm NOW IT'S HIS WIFE
State Comptroller Carl McCall sent wife Joyce Brown's résumé to a Chicago real-estate executive who was investing millions of dollars on behalf of the state's pension fund...
Maybe he needs to withdraw so the party can name another Demo candidate for governor.

Why do 35 days matter if 51 days do not? Does anyone see the inherent, blatant hypocricy?

Heheh -- I haven't called yet, but may call and say that I am heartbroken that Toricelli is attempting to withdraw, and could the court PLEASE make him stay in? As long as they are in the business of making remedies and all that.

Here is the phone number for Forrester's headquarters:
(609) 890-4699
The court's obsession with giving voters a "choice" should be their undoing. I am fully prepared to register as a Democrat and challenge Lautenberg's selection to replace Torricelli, on the grounds that voters were not given the opportunity to vote for ME.
To: carton253
Bill can't replace him. Bill isn't a residence of NJ. Part of him is. See, most people don't know that his p@cker is long enough to span the Hudson River. He's to modest to bring this fact up himself, of course.

Justice is calling the military deadline an "artifical deadline." Hey, jerk, it's set by federal law. You don't have the right to monkey with it, whatever you may be able to do with state law.
To: cicero's_son
Judge asking if certification of vote count was on Nov. 10 instead of 5th thereby giving the Federally mandated 35 days would that fix the problem.
To: Puddleglum
Pete du Pont for Senate in Delaware against Joe Biden. Clatworthy is behind in the polls.
