A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 10/1/02

President Bush met with congressional leaders today to asks that they pass the Terrorism Insurance Agreement by Friday. Bush stressed the need to pass the measure so that 300,000 people could get back to work on $15.5 billion worth of projects that are on hold because of no insurance. The President also made it crystal clear that although an Iraqi inspection agreement is a step in the right direction, the Biden/Lugar resolution is just not strong enough. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura Bush was in Florida today to help promote reading. This evening, she is attending a fund-raiser for her brother-in-law, Jeb. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

the "famous singer" was none other than Streisand - who slept over at the White House in March 1993 when Hillary was away visiting her dying father in Little Rock, Ark.

Good find. I'd forgotten HRC's father was on his deathbed. He is such a prince.

I thought that scratch was over Monica. I just can't keep up I guess. Didn't she throw an ashtray at him over Monica?

The best anniversay present we could give them for their November 5th anniversay is a House and Senate MAJORITY!!!

What does one get for the first couple who has everything?

You give them Tom Daschle, Senate minority leader!

Thank you, rintense! Another set of great pictures, including some fabulous close-ups!!!

The President had some other choice things to say today, too. After your quote of the day, I think this one is my favorite ......

"... the United Nations must show its backbone. And we will work with members of the Security Council to put a little calcium there, put calcium in the backbone, so this organization is able to more likely keep the peace as we go down the road.

My mother had one on her nose last week. I doctored it very gingerly with anti-biotic ointment because it looked very raw and sore. When she was getting ready for bed, I doctored it again and it came off. It was from the cup of tomato soup she had for lunch.

ROTFLOL!

If the Democrats lose the Senate, Daschele won't be their minority leader because he is the one who will take the blame for losing it. He will be replaced as minority leader.

When Dubya said he would bring a "new tone" to DC everyone laughed about that- his naivete. However, it went further than that. By doing what he thought was right, by LEADING, he lured the Rats out of their holes and exposed them for what they are: a bunch of socialists more interested in POWER than in what is right for this country.

I also said about 2 weeks ago on FR that I did not think there will be a war with Iraq. Wouldn't it just be something if Saddam is ousted and the US and Britain get what they want without a war, due to President Bush's leadership and his administration's behind-the-scenes manerverings? I would just love to see the Demos have another meltdown.

Welcome, RDF. (Hope you don't mind the abbreviation. That's one heck of a long name. But it sure makes sense...there's no choosing between the two!) I've just been here for a couple of months, myself, and it's a lot of fun. Glad you've joined us! :-)

Nice to meet you! Great name!

There was someone who signed up on 9/30/02 and his first posted article said "U.S. Officials Knew ahead of time about 9/11." Called himself NeoPrometheus.

I pinged the Admin Moderator, after telling NeoPromo what I thought of the RATS and DU, and presto! No article and no current FReeper by that name.

Hehheh!

See, here we can congregate without having to listen to slander.
