Scott Garrett for Congress I wanted to drop everyone a note regarding where Assemblyman Garrett will be this weekend, and what he will be up to. Please pay special attention to the note after the schedule on an upcoming debate, and how to get tickets. 9:00am 11:00am during the day, it would be greatly appreciated. Scott will later be attending the Bloomingdale Pride and Arts Festival on his way to an event back in Sussex County. The exact time of his arrival and departure at this event will be determined based on how things go in Bergenfield. Sunday: 12:00pm Other Information: Debate: of the web page is a link to click on which reads, "5th District Congressional Debate-Click Here for Tickets." There is a limit of two tickets per person and space is limited. We can be assured that Anne's supporters are going to rush to snatch up these tickets so they can stack the deck. I encourage you, even if you aren't sure you can go, to get your two tickets ordered right away. We can find people later to use them if you can't. Phoning: We have phones running constantly at the Midland Park office and the BCRO. If you can take some time to work a phone bank, please let me know. Phones are running AT LEAST 6:00-9:00 Mon through Thurs, and likely at other times if you are available. We will also have phones running in Warren County, and can always have people phoning in our Newton Office. Please commit to a little or a lot of time each week and we'll get you scheduled. Letters to The Editor:
If you haven't (or even if you have but it has been awhile) submitted a letter to the editor and would be willing, please respond to this email and I'll get one to you that you can send. This is an important component to the campaign, and all you have to do is send an email. Scott on Television: This Sunday New Jersey Network (NJN) will air a debate that was taped today between Scott and his opponent. The debate is on "On the Record" with Michael Aron. The debate will air at 9:00am and will be rebroadcast at 11:00am both this Sunday, the 29th of September. Any questions or comments on the campaign, please feel free to contact me any time.

Coleus, thankfully I've moved away from Montclair...which is probably slightly to the left of Ithaca! The only person still in that geographical area is a misinformed cousin who voted for Gore, Clinton (twice), Dukakis, and Carter (twice).
Each town running along Bloomfield Avenue is absolutely in need of a local government makeover. What they're collectively doing now clearly isn't working. Those towns are so behind-the-times, I would vote for new blood...regardless of the party affiliation of the incumbent.

Many of you may remember several polls that were released in recent months stating that Bret Schundler can win the 2005 Gubernatorial election. Last Week, another poll released by Quinnipiac confirmed what the other polls have indicated THAT BRET SCHUNDLER IS IN POSITION TO BEAT JIM McGREEVEY IN NEXT YEARS RACE FOR GOVERNOR!
The Quinnipiac Poll also shows that Bret Schundler is the strongest Republican candidate in a head to head match-up with McGreevey. The poll shows that Bret is within the margin of error specified for the poll and . that 56% of New Jerseans want someone else besides Jim McGreevey to be their Governor. Another important fact that is revealed is that almost 20% of voters are undecided, and in a race when an incumbent is involved, undecided voters tend to ultimately break for the challenger.
Fiscal mismanagement and out of control property taxes also come in to play. The Quinnipiac Poll indicates that 61% of voters disapprove of the way Jim McGreevey is handling property taxes.
It all adds up to make perfect sense. Jim McGreevey has been spending your tax dollars wildly and borrowing money faster than ever. Local property taxes are soaring because of his wild borrowing and spending.
Then on the other hand Bret Schundler has been leading the fight to bring more of your tax dollars back to your community to lower your property taxes. Bret has also been leading the fight to block Jim McGreeveys irresponsible and un-constitutional borrowing.
The voters of New Jersey are seeing a clear picture. Jim McGreevey equals high property taxes and Bret Schundler equals real property tax reform.
Indeed, these poll results say that if Bret does continue doing what he is doing, he will very likely be New Jerseys next Governor.
I encourage you to share this information with as many members of your organization as possible and look for Brets new campaign web site coming soon. www.Bret2005.com
