***The Signs Are There: War With Iraq Is Coming SOON***
Stardate: 0209.27

I realized today why Dasshole and the rest are screaming:
About a week to ten days from now the War is going to start, (probably the weekend after the congress/the UN passes it's resolution.....**) and anyone who understands how we work can see it, the signs all turned up on TV Monday.
What you may ask gives me this insight?
Well I'll tell you, as it just hit me.....and I had real reservations about posting, (and If the folks here think this should go, pull away)....
Remember the image of the skies over Bagdad during Desert Storm.....well, on Monday both Fox news and CNN launched a midday show about the "War in Iraq", and PMSNBC sent their reporter to an aircraft carrier in the gulf who has started reporting daily about "drills"
As a TV producer it tells me they are positioning themselves to be on air during the night, (Bagdad Time) and already have everything in place to cover what they expect to be a very short war.
In my field you start a week or two ahead to get your viewers in tow, but you don't start a month or two because you'll lose them......
So, at the risk of seeming like a complete fool, the motions of the TV news gatherers tells me we'll be in and over before Halloween.
And the democrats will have to run against a victorious republican President who has just beaten Iraq, liberated Afghanistan and planted the seeds of democracy in Iran at the same time........
No wonder they're pissed:
They wanted GWB to go to the UN, he did.
They wanted him to come to congress, he did.
And now, before the election, he's going to go into Iraq........(and the War will bost the economy as well)
I've said it before and I will say it again:
Don't mess with this Texan, he's too many moves ahead

If we use EMP, all phones will be fried. Also, the satellite phone system -- formerly "Iridium" -- is owned by the CIA.

Checkmate, my @ss. I'll provide that list for you, if you'd like.
The notion that "conservatives don't agree on everything" may be technically correct, but when carried to its logical extension we end up with "conservatives" and "liberals" who look and sound exactly the same.
(Now what about those tariffs on steel and softwood lumber?)

Foreign journalists have begun to flock to Baghdad, a bad omen for Iraqis who see it as a sign that war is coming while the government sees it as an opportunity to put across its side of the story.
You know what this tells me? For all the bashing that we receive over accidental killing of noncombatants, the real opinion of the world's journalists is that we are very good shots. We're so good they're willing to bet their lives on it. Can you think of anything else they'd accept that kind of a high stake on?

Even if he knew the exact day and hour, there is nothing, not one thing he could do about it to stop it.60 Years ago, before the E-age,loose lips sunk ships, today, everything is known in a matter of a few minutes, around the world. Not just us in America, anyone that has access to the internet. If I had your name and birthdate,I could know just about everything to know about you, scary isn't it.

Checkmate, my @ss. I'll provide that list for you, if you'd like. No, checkmate! You're the ass.
You don't see how you proved my point? I don't need a list. Your own words mated you, paht-nah! You gave up the ghost. So laugh now, and figure it out when you get home.
But continue! I'm enjoying the minstrel show.

"remember the next time it is an administration of left-wing @ssholes that is doing the manipulating." Where the hell was your head, during the 8 years of the Clinton administration. That is precisely what the "democrats" and leftist supporters were doing - and they damned near ruined the country...
Now, that "dumb" cowboy from Texas with cow dung on his boots has outwitted, outperformed and outmaneuvered the stupid democrat bastards and they (like you) are FURIOUS...
Bush and the Republicans have the task of cleaning up all the messes created or ignored by the democrats and leftists.... they will succeed.
This Easter -- all the democrats will find in their Easter Basket - will be a cold cow pie.... I hope they enjoy eating it.. Revenge is a dish, best served cold.

You are right, he can't stop us...there might not even be an invasion or ground troops...Rummy is a master at misinformation...that said, there is no reason we let slip little things that we know....it might seem trivial to us but maybe not to SH.

So now this "war" is being treated as nothing more than a television production. Not only that but the war has been scheduled for "sweeps week." Now if only the war could kick off on a Sunday night, The Sopranos over on HBO will get mauled.

The only press reports I've seen are of CIA inside Iran chasing Al Qaeda so far, so I don't think anyone is talking.

We're so good they're willing to bet their lives on it. I wish I could have such a positive attitude about this. More likely, these journalists know an awful lot about the military plans of the U.S. long before anyone else does.

I wouldn't worry abut that, genius. This soft-headed bunk is inaccurate in every respect. The war won't start in October, much less be finished by Halloween. Were you sober when you came to these conclusions?

LOL.

I agree. I was told by a lobbyist friend inside DC today that the RATS are terrified and furious that they've been outmaneuvered by Bush.

As a TV producer it tells me they are positioning themselves to be on air during the night, (Bagdad Time) and already have everything in place to cover what they expect to be a very short war. As a TV producer, you are hugely over-emphasising TV's importance in all this. The networks have no more idea when this is going to commence than my dog does. They are NOT on Bush's, Cheney's, Rumsfeld's, or Rice's "notification" list.
The networks are just making a guess and trying not to get caught off-guard whenever the big blast might occur. They have no idea whatsoever what is going on, or the timing of it.
One of the greatest mistakes anyone on this planet can make is assuming that great knowledge, foresight or even understanding comes from the TV networks.
To: river rat
In fact, the specific term used was "outsmarted."
